2025 Update: I recently got my Mom some items for a gift basket from here -- an Amazonite stone, some wildflower prints, an astrology-themed candle, and a beautiful (framed!) Rene Perez art print. This is, hands down, the best boutique in town for folks who love hand-made, carefully curated items.

I've been shopping at daughter of the wild for years, I believe since she opened. Every single area is carefully curated to display plants, jewelry, crystals, vintage style posters/cards, and all sorts of magical adorable wonderful items. Whether you're shopping for items for your own home or looking for a gift for a friend, this is the perfect place to go. Very cool little shop and I really enjoyed looking around at all the well-curated items but I’m unsatisfied with my purchase experience. After looking at everything, I found a vintage, small pocket knife that was $35. I quickly looked at it and decided to purchase it. After leaving, I realized the blade doesn’t stay put once you tuck it back in, so an obvious issue if you are trying to attach it to your keys. When I went back and asked to return or exchange it, I was told “ vintage” items are final sale. This is something I will always be mindful and respectful of IF I’m told before the purchase, but in this case, I was not. There was also no signage anywhere stating specific items...

Plants, jewelry, crystals, and vintage treasures galore! Daughter of the Wild is as magical as the San Marcos River itself. Hands down my favorite place to pop in and buy a gift (for others but also for myself) especially since everything feels super reasonably priced. The owner, Nikkye, does a stellar job of dialing in a vibe within the space, so you really feel like you’ve stepped through a portal into another world when you walk through the door.
