Dunkin' — Restaurant in San Marcos

My friend ordered a small drink here, it took over 30 minutes for them to say it was ready, then we got to the counter and it wasn't even there. We waited another 15 minutes and asked someone about it and a girl named Makayla with a ton of pins on her hat and bleached hair told us in a very dismissive tone that they probably just called out the wrong one (someone with the same name). Then she just walked away with no further conversation (I get it, she was busy, but I have questions). Then we wait another 10 minutes and I ask another worker there (who was actually nice and listening to what I have to say). I tell her I'm concerned that if they marked off my order that theyre no longer going to work on it because its marked as completed, and Makayla came over again, cut me off and told me "I already told you we called the wrong one, we are backed up on orders 🙄" and moved on. Then as I'm waiting even longer, she starts complaining about me in the back to one of her coworkers. As this is going on, another worker comes up to me and asks me what I was waiting on, I tell her, and no more than a minute later she gets it out to me. It's not that hard.

Not only this, the girl next to me was also missing things from her order since they were calling names on one item even if you had multiple to pick up. She had been waiting for over an hour, then the same girl that got me my drink got hers out really quick as well. Being "backed up" is no excuse, especially when my order was 366 and this girl's was 330 and they were already calling out names in the 400s. Then said there would only be a 30min wait, but it...

They have coffee and they have donuts.🙏❤ Dont be too discouraged by the service though. The management really does try their best to run this DD along with the other concepts at this dining hall. It's just that when your workforce mainly consists of college kids with no aptitude for work with a high worker turnover rate, customer service will tend to be iffy. Even more so, Imagine having to manage such people. Think of that one person at work that makes you think to yourself," why does this person work here? I feel like they'd rather be anywhere else but here." That's what could be said of at least 50% of the employees here. But hey , its a learning experience for everyone and again, its just coffee and donuts. Can't go...

I typically love this location as a good coffee from here is a nice addition to my morning. Unfortunately, this morning they completely butchered my order. The line was so long because of the insanely slow movement of the employees that I decided to spare them and just take the visibly wrong drink. It was disgusting, easily the worst coffee I have ever drank.
