I hate writing bad reviews and I feel bad for even having to. But after my experience at KBop I will never be back.
This was my first time here, the menu looked promising and I was excited to try it.
As I get to the front to order, the woman behind the register was standing there so I walk up and I’m like “hey there :)!” She just dead stares me and we just stared at each other for 3 or 5 seconds.. ok, it was odd. I then thought to myself, maybe she didn’t hear me or can’t hear ? So then I was like ok let me just order, I order my food and the entire time this women behind the register had the most insane attitude? Like I was somehow bothering her for being there to order? ( like imagine you are at a retail store and two people are talking and then you have to go up and ask one for help and they both mug you for interrupting their conversation) but she wasn’t talking to anyone, so idk..
Ok now time for food, once I got my food the first bite I had I was like , huh I wonder if it’s supposed to be cold? Then I mixed it all up and thought maybe the heat or warmth was at the bottom, but no it was still cold. Almost as if someone grabbed it out of a fridge and just plopped the food in the bowl with a bunch of sauce. Kinda like slop . I tried to eat it all but couldn’t :/ I then asked the group of people next to me if the meal was supposed to be served cold because I thought maybe the dish itself is meant to be cold, and they all replied “no mine was fresh”
I didn’t dare ask the counter to reheat my food due to the woman at the front.
The restrooms were dirty and the table I ate at was dirty.
I really wanted to like this place , the pictures look amazing but unfortunately it was a...
Read moreThis place is awesome and the portion sizes are great! As a Korean, I was so excited to hear that a Korean place had opened up in San Marcos, so I had to try it and I have to say I am very impressed. There's definitely been a few Korean places that have opened up previously that didn't hit the mark unfortunately, but this one is GREAT! I wish I could have taken pictures but it smelled so good we just dug in. We had the Soondubu, which was pretty authentic, and I'll definitely be getting it again, because I just love Korean soups. It would be super cool if they added Yukgaejang to their menu, I would eat there everyday. We also got the shrimp tempura kimbop which was a nice modern spin on a classic korean dish, still tasted like kimbop but had a little sushi fusion going on, 10/10 recommend. And my partner got the beef bulgogi bowl which was so awesome, huge portion size, and the bulgogi tasted really good as well. We got the honey milk tea with strawberry jelly and I'll definitely be coming by for just that alone, not overpoweringly sweet, and perfect taste. All in all, I'm super impressed and excited for this place and will be recommending it to everyone! SO happy I don't have to drive to Austin for good korean...
Read moreSunday August 18 I came into the restaurant and placed an order for my family. 4 meals and 2 appetizers. I was then told that they are out of the some of the meals I ordered. Ok no problem, refund me my money. I was then told they don’t know how to refund orders??
Wow, not acceptable. Additionally to top it all off, the orders that I did receive, the #2 need bulgogi bowl, they are out of the ingredients to make that too! They made some other weird variation, with lots of sauce, no vegetables, both noodles and rice. They made a totally different order.
They did not have any chicken for the chicken teriyaki order I ordered. Someone in my family cannot eat beef. All this considered I had no other option of what to order and they did not refund me my money, this is crazy, this is not how you do business.
I NEED my money back. Asap. Unacceptable seriously, I will look into further action if this is...
