This was our first time here, and it was all yummmmmm!!! I was very surprised when I walked in to see this place gorgeously decorated with memorabilia from the local schools surrounding the area. Also, it intrigued me to want learn more about the historical origin of Canes and whether it has anything to do with the breed of dogs - canines. The price was reasonable, but I think a little steep. I also would have liked to have seen some more a la carte options because sometimes you just want the chicken and the fries, not the drink and toast. I would also like to see full and side salad on the menu, but that's perhaps wishful thinking. But this place was buzzing with heeps of people, all happy and enjoying their meals. Also, the place was super clean, and the staff was very friendly. The company must pay well, which is my thought on that. And, my favorite part was the chicken and the fries. I looooveeeeeee fried chicken, it's not an all the time stop for me (mostly eat grilled - that would be nice to see on the menu), but this is incredible fried chicken, moist, great breading, and seasoned to perfection. I also don't normally enjoy crinkle cut fries, but these are done absolutely perfectly! The crispy on fries was unreal. They were so crispy even when cold. Brilliant. A+ all the way! We'll be back, and it is worth the drive if you don't live near San Marcos.

Ahhh Cane's Chicken has finally made it to the neighborhood another good restaurant with a terrible terrible parking lot should have looked down the street at Chick-fil-A and in and out and how terribly they did that parking lot and not made the same mistake I saw instantly at least two better ways to have set up that parking lot to where drive-thru traffic could have moved through smoothly and there would have been plenty of parking in the parking lot for customers to come in and have their food not exactly sure why you guys did the parking lot that way but it's really bad and I know that it's brand newly open but the chicken slingers could use a little brushing up on the customer service

Prices up, portions waaaaay down. Always been a Canes fan but this last visit was pretty whack. Received 3 of the smallest fingers I’ve ever seen in the 50+ times I’ve been to various Canes over my life. I get that there are different sized pieces of chicken, but to stick someone with 3 of the smallest ones to ever be sold is pretty poor. I’ll probably only be back after 1:30am. Giving them an extra star here because it’s nice that they’re open so late. Staff are very nice too, but come on guys, use your head and give people their moneys worth.

Raising Canes..... I've only heard good things, despite the fact that their menu is so limited. So, I took the plunge and tried it out. Ordered via their App and it was a great experience. Very user friendly. When we arrived, the restaurant itself is impressive and has great aesthetics. The staff were very friendly, however they left a box combo out and only gave me 3/4 of my order. So, I had to go back a second time to get my box combo. The chicken is definitely great, it's fresh as can be, crispy, but juicy. The flavor is excellent. A box combo consists of

crinkle fries, - which were fresh and really good, but needed some salt

4 chicken strips

Coleslaw - I don't care for coleslaw in general, so I have no review of this, as I didn't even try it. Shot it right into the trash can 👍

-slice of bread - which was also very fresh, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside

-Canes sauce - good but lacks that kick. The sauce tastes flat to me, and if you don't have a good sauce, you're just eating plain chicken and unsalted fries and bread. It takes that flavor kick out of the experience.

We ordered a lemonade and it was very meh😐 It tastes just like country time lemonade, no bits of lemon in it, and you can tell it's not fresh, or if it is, it just tastes flat. Be careful handling your drinks, 2 of our 4 drinks we ordered had leaky lids.

Overall I have to say it was a good experience, but I did get a bad impression of them for not putting my meal together properly the first time. That and the lack of flavor with that sauce... It makes the meal less pleasant.

Just a tip - Ordering with the app does not speed up your order process. Since Raising Canes cooks the chicken fresh when you arrive, you still...

I know that this restaurant just opened but they are night and day different from the other locations I have been to. I really think they need to do more training at other stores before opening. The drive through moves much slower and they have the window comes off. The girl that is directing traffic at the window is terribly rude. One meal the chicken was under done and the breading was falling off it. There was milky fluid coming from the chicken. The other meal was extra crispy, which actually was pretty good, just very inconsistent. I will definitely be back, I love their chicken fingers and toast. This location just needs a lot more practice.

Update: I have been back to this location three times now and I have been offered free food from management but I have not taken them up on it. I am sorry to say that my first two star experience has been the best one yet. I'm downgrading to one star. I was so excited when they opened this location but it looks like I will be driving to Vista if I want Canes chicken fingers from now on. The two-lane drive-thru is a complete s-Show. There is nothing more frustrating then a slow drive through and have three cars that entered the drive-thru after I ordered to cut Infront of me. They haven't been able to make proper change once. The food has been more consistent but just not the same as other locations. The employees speak extremely fast and I have to consistently asked them to repeat themselves. No one says please or thank you. I have heard that no one wants to work for minimum wage because the government is paying you to stay home. It sure seems like no one wants...

Well, first time here so I'm not sure what to expect each time but it was pretty good. We did the drive-thru so I can only comment on that part. They were well organized with two people outside taking orders instead of having to order at the screen. The menu had about six items to choose from and it seems like there was a chicken sandwich and the rest were all chicken fingers, understandably and a choice of a box lunch with chicken fingers that has fries and coleslaw or you could get a two-piece or three-piece meal with french fries. The chicken is fresh and with a crispy skin and good size pieces. The fries were very good. There was a sauce to dip the chicken in and I don't know if there are other sauces but the guy taking the order in the Drive-Thru didn't tell us if there were any other sauces. We were able to pay right there with him and then he just told us which window to pick it up at. Nice place and great drive-thru since it has two lanes to drive through. It's right next door to handles ice cream in the parking lot as well so it's a pretty good combination of places. I don't have a way to compare pricing with other chicken finger places because we had never been to one other than this but I could never order chicken fingers or chicken McNuggets from another place after having these. The portions are generous I think and so we will probably go back and try something else as far as...
