It's been a while since I have Southern food. Not usually a "go to" place for me, but am down to try food like this. This restaurant happens to be inspired by other southern foods from Texas. Looks like that they decided to bring the food here to Bay Area with its several locations. I have to say. The place is very nice and reminds me the times that I go to Fuddruckers, which is closed at Union City. It replicates the theme of southern places in the US and the business has been running for over 40 years. Good thing that it survived the pandemic. They seem to even play southern music too. The food here is really good. I decided to additionally try the Texas toast. Really tastes different than normal ones. The chicken thighs are good with appropriate seasonings especially the fries. Also like how the fountain machines are set up especially when they have like special flavors you can add onto your drinks like Vanilla and Cherry. This restaurant gives you an opportunity to try foods that are mostly inspired by Texan food. Gives you a taste of how the food tastes like from the south.

Not terrible, but not great either and grossly overpriced for what you get and the quality. My wife had the big Texas plate, I believe it was $27 or $28. She got 3 pieces of ribs, not that great. Potato salad tasted like it came out of a container. The corn was tasty though although I feel it would have been better warm than cold. She got a side of sausage which was actually pretty tasty. I got the El jefe sandwich with tots. The tots were pretty good and the sandwich wasn't terrible, but The meat was dry, tough and not that juicy. Overcooked. Also mine was about $18 and I had more food than my wife with her 2 sides. Not worth the prices and they haven't mastered how to cook the meat. The picture included is her dish with one rib eaten and the sausage on her plate was an additional charge not included in the dish

The restaurant was empty at 6pm on a Wednesday night. My food came out quick. We got the Texas BBQ ribs w/potato salad and garlic fries $28 + side of brisket $5.40 and baby back ribs w/cajun fries and house salad $30.50 + side of brisket $5.40. The Texas ribs were ok. Slightly burnt and smoky. It didn't fall off the bone but still retained some moisture. The baby back ribs were a little bit better with the meat almost falling off the bone. The highlight for us were the garlic fries! So good. I should have gotten rid of the other sides and went with all garlic fries. As for the brisket, it was OK and needed BBQ sauce. We should have asked for more fattier pieces. Service is as expected for a self serve, pay at the cashier first restaurant.

Our family decided to eat somewhere in Bridgepoint as we wanted to shop at Target. This place has high reviews among others. The ribs are decent, but it’s quite fatty and oily to me, though my husband likes it. The soup is very good though, so that’s a plus. We ordered kid meals for our son, wanted a chicken sandwiches, but they ran out of chicken, so we chose pulled pork. Let’s say my son is picky eater who refuses to eat anything not delicious, and that night he only had fries for dinner, and some buns. We had the pulled pork all to ourselves, and it’s not tasty. The restaurant is well decorated and clean, but I’d love if they can check the soap in the toilet every now and then.

My favorite spot for BBQ for 2 reasons: It’s walking distance to the office, and tater tots! Ok, the ribs are good too! I usually get the Baby Back and Tri Tip combo. And always get the Tater Tots. I like the fact that they have a salad and veggies as sides. For those days when I eat healthy. Make that day. The ribs are a little smaller than desired, but they make up for it with a wonderful BBQ sauce. By the day, I’m surprised I ate the whole thing, and I sit back fat and happy! All this compliments a great BBQ beer list. Go get some

The food experience here is super mid. The brisket and Texas BBQ ribs are drying than my kid's chicken tenders. It was edible with their BBQ sauce but it was a struggle. The ribs do come off the bone pretty easily and the fatter pieces were quite tender for the brisket but again, super dry. Mac and cheese was good. Fries were okay but nothing really stands out.
