I went to Miller’s Ale House. I want to say 2 1/2 weeks ago. A huge mistake was made with my Wing order and a couple of other items. The customer service there is amazing although they were almost closed when I got back home they still answered the phone. I first spoke with a young lady. I can’t remember her name. She told me she would put my name in a book and anytime I wanted to come back they would make the order that was wrong, they would make it right. Needless to say somehow, or another, my name didn’t get in the book ,but an awesome person that is a manager named Ryan( Another Manager) along with a host/server name, Elena both stepped up to the plate to make this wrong right. Originally, the first manager had given me when I came back there to see her and ask her about my name being in the book. No one had any knowledge of it, but whatever her name was, she did give me a gift card. When I went back to use it, it didn’t equal out to what I spent which was way over the gift card amount she had given me. That’s where Ryan came in and just took care of the whole thing with Elena and told me to keep the gift card anyway. I consider that to be great customer service, although the other lady was very very nice as well. Whoever dropped the ball with telling me they put my name in the book when they didn’t. Everybody stepped up and made the issue right. I have been to a few Miller Ale Houses , and really when I tell you, The Sanford one is the best one I’ve ever been to. I really mean it, not because of all the stuff I was given. It’s because when you walk in two of them that I know of for sure the carpet smells like it needs to be changed really really bad. The greets are not that great. They act like they’re there just for their checks. You don’t get that vibe when you walk into Sanford’s Miller Ale House. I live in Deltona where they have nothing remotely near of good food anywhere. So Sanford is the place that I go to get good food and I definitely love Miller’s Ale House for their great customer service and how clean they keep their establishment and that’s really all I have to...
Read moreIf I could leave less than one star, I would. This place was maybe half full, so not slammed by any means. Our waitress introduced herself and took our drink order. 10 minutes later a guy shows up and takes our drink order. Real shifty, can't sit still or make eye contact sort of fellow. We just assumed the waitresses shift had ended or something. So, eventually we got our drinks. No big deal, everything is still fine. I noticed all the burgers came with American cheese and I am not too big on that type of cheese. When time came to order, I asked for the 'Cue Bacon Burger (barbeque bacon burger) and asked if I could just get some of the shredded cheddar I seen came on the salad. The server made a big deal about it went to the kitchen to find someone to ask. Yes, they could put the cheddar on for me. Still no problem from here, I'll put that whole awkward stunt on me cause I had to be picky. My friend ordered the same thing I did, actually said "I'll have the same thing". When our food comes out, his burger was indeed the 'Cue Bacon Burger. Mine on the other hand was this monster of which I can't remember the name of (because I didn't order it) that had an extra patty and no bbq sauce. Again, no big deal. I'm not even going to bother sending it back, let's just eat. At least they remembered the cheddar. I always finish my food, even if I don't care for it. Nope. The burger meat itself looked to be cooked medium-well with a pleasant char. I can only assume that it possibly went straight from the freezer to the grill top because the inside can only be described as wet and fluffy. Made a huge dripping mess on the plate with the first bite and had a terrible cool almost paste like texture inside. I tried eating it, but less than halfway through I couldn't stomach it anymore. What a disappointment because I had really wanted a burger. My vote was Five Guys but we ended up there. There were other small discrepancies that I decided to leave out of this review because this is already really long.. All in all, I will not be returning to...
Read moreI visit this place a couple of times a week because it's close and on the way home.
The front room is well run.
I often don't order food here, just a beer.
I was disappointed when I ordered an actual meal for the second time.
On the previous visit I had ordered their ice cream cake and there was paper still on the bottom. No big deal because I smack it out and remove the paper.
But this last visit...
They had chopped up plastic wrap and tossed it in my salad by accident. It wasn't a big sheet. Oh no, I would have spotted that. It had been chopped.
It very much bothers me that people working in the kitchen can't recognize plastic wrap from lettuce. I wonder what else they put into the food by accident.
Why do I think they cut up the plastic wrap and mixed it in? Well I assume that the salad was in a large bowl or container of some type, so the plastic wrap needed to cover that opening. The piece I pulled out from between my molars was maybe the size of my palm uncrimpled? I can't imagine the container having an opening that small. Also, I had to stab pieces of lettuce with my fork to get it to my mouth or scoop up a bit with my fork. Whatever sized piece it was on my plate, it fit on my fork as it went into my mouth.
Why do I think there were smaller pieces of plastic wrap? Well, the previous mouthful, I remembered wondering about a particularly chewy piece of lettuce in my mouth. It wasn't that big, and I didn't think twice, and some bits of salad have been known to be on the stringy side. After pulling out a bigger piece of plastic mid-bite, I am not so sure I didn't swallow a smaller piece of plastic wrap.
Here's hoping I didn't or that I don't get a blockage and have to...
