The atmosphere is a ready-to-go good time, comfortable and fairly pleasant. Plenty of TVs to watch, much decor to fancy, and activities to do while you wait. The electronic drink board was not up to date, and it is a shame because it's one of the bigger things you notice as you walk in, so we did not exactly what they had to offer for drinks or drink specials. At least the drinks we ordered were cold and not warm. On our table there were some games to keep us busy such as block tic tac toe and a card game (which I am sure is more fun if you have had a couple of drinks). Our waiter was good. He was friendly and attentive. He did not forget about us or leave us waiting. Thank you for that. The food was very tasty. The loaded Tostones (fried plantains) with the pulled pork and pickled onions were amazing. The buffalo wings were also very good. They were not small, skinny, two bite wings. You had to get a good hold of these things and work them for a minute. These wings were very big, cooked well, juicy and very tasty. Overall, I do recommend The Station Bar & Grub, located at 109 S. Palmetto Avenue in Sanford, FL, to locals that have not been there and visitors alike. Please spread the word to family and friends. I will be going back. Thank you for reading.

It was my first time at The Station, and I'm not sure if I'l be back tbh. Long story short: the wait time sucked. It took just shy of 50'ish minutes for my Ceasar Salad and Patti Melt to come out. Now, I did stop by on a Friday night, and they did look short staffed, but the wait was a lot longer than it should have been imo. My waiter was awesome though. With that being said, that was really my only criticism. I forgot to take a picture of my Ceasar Salad, but it was surprisingly good. Plus, it was a decent amount of salad. My gfs shared the Patti Melt, and one really liked it while the other said it was a Steak-N-Shake wannabe. Not quite sure if that's a bad thing lol. They also got to it before I was able to take good pics, so what I have is what you're looking at. I also forgot to take a pic of my salad. The atmosphere itself wasn't bad either. Not my scene, but there is something for everyone as I saw older folks and younger folks enjoying themselves. I did see college age kids "on the prawl" so to speak, but this isn't a pick-up scene if that's what you're after. All in all, if it wasn't for the wait, I'd recommend it as a place worth checking out if you're in the area. Otherwise, I'd check it out if you're not in a hurry.

I would like to give this place a 5 star review and am willing to change it in the future if the service improves. There's a lot to be desired in the service aspect of this restaurant. We came Monday for lunch and it was only about 75%-80% full. Twice, food came to our high top asking if we ordered this food they had brought when we didn't. Some of the waiter's and waitresses looked stressed as they came in and out of the kitchen in the back. There definitely needs to be a better way to assign the food coming out of the kitchen to go to the correct table. Didn't think it was that hard. So service was not very good, but the food and beer selection was top notch! When we did get our right food, it was very tasty and fresh. Their beer selection was very extensive as well. I've been here twice and will be back eventually. I would also like to mention the prices were very reasonable as well. The lack of feedback on these reviews from the manager/ownership also says a lot about their willingness to improve where need be. Edit :07/18/2022. Yesterday afternoon we had a delicious lunch and the service was improved compared to our last visit. The station’s excellent food and beer menu keep having us come back. S/O to Chance?, our waiter.

Friends! Hark! Life is short and time is fleeting, but if ever there were a place worthy of your precious patronage, let it be found here at The Station Bar and Grub! Put your world-weary bones to rest and bask in the comfort and pleasure of it's brilliant Fire Station aesethetic! Let the atmosphere of these real world heroes encapsulate and mystify you as you indulge in the near limitless choices of tap beer and alcohol that await your eager spirit! Let the Michelin-star worthy food fill your longing belly as your soul sings and your body swoons in time with the intoxicating sounds of the mysterious Fire Truck disc jockey!  No more will you question life's worth after setting foot inside this wondrous establishmentt! Fear and doubt will melt away like hot flame under the pressure of icy firehose water! Your life will be made better by even a brief visit to this magical place, and indeed your soul will no doubt pine to return again and again! If you find yourself in the Sanford, FL area you would be foolish not to nourish your soul here amongst the knowing masses. For those outside this magical zone, you should make every effort to journey here, be it by foot or by fire truck. Know that whatever effort you expend to reach this haven will be repaid in kind with hospitality and generosity. Indeed, the owner is someone who selflessly provided me with a mask for my Uber ride home this very evening, so as to insure a safe return to my mediocre and nihilistic life! Make no mistake, this is a place worthy of your valuable time and money. Do make haste to The Station Bar and Grub for a sampling of all things good in this unforgiving world, and let them cool the heat of your burning heart and place a gentle fire-retardant glove upon your longing shoulder. 5 stars seems too little in a universe filled with them...I'd give them...

Let me start by saying this literally used to be my family's favorite spot. The food is always on point, the atmosphere is bomb.com whether you're going for football, bingo, or just a quick lunch on a Wednesday.. they have games at every table and the whole family has a good time (friends, too). The last time we went it wasn't super crowded, but crowded enough (early football game). We were expecting a little wait, but not 2 hours. The server didn't write down our order (my husband even asked her if she should be writing it down as he's pretty picky... as in meat potatoes and cheese only). Our youngest got his grilled cheese pretty fast, then the burger for our daughter came out a few minutes later. After about 15 minutes my husband finally got our servers attention and asked where the rest of the food was, like she had forgotten..? My son's tacos and my mushroom sandwich came out... then my husband steak sandwich, which was cold and had all the veggies on it. We sent it back and waited another 30 minutes. At this point the kids decided to walk to the park and i waited with my husband to finish his meal. During that time I had to use the restroom and o.m.g. I literally gagged 3-4 times before I decided to go use a public restroom as I just couldn't bring myself to use that one. Not that I'm against this, but their bathrooms are gender neutral and both were deplorable.

I wish I could say this was my first bad experience with a server and it makes me really sad bc bad service really runs loyal customers away. I do hope they find a way to have a better training and on boarding process with their servers. If we try it out again I hope they will have ironed...

I don’t usually write reviews, but after my experience at The Station Bar & Grub last night, I couldn’t not shout out the absolute legend that is Nic.

From the second I walked in, Nic greeted me like we were longtime friends. I sat at the bar just expecting a quick bite and a beer, but what I got instead was one of the best dining experiences of my life. Nic was insanely attentive — the kind of guy who notices your glass is half-empty before you even do. He nailed every part of the service, from food recommendations to the perfect pour on a cold draft IPA.

What really made the night special, though, was the conversation. Nic and I got into this epic discussion about the current NBA playoffs, and it was like talking to an ESPN analyst who also happens to be your homie. We debated matchups, broke down the Heat’s defensive schemes, and even had a friendly argument about who’s taking it all this year. His passion, his energy — you could just tell this dude loves people and loves what he does.

It’s rare to come across someone who can serve drinks, deliver top-tier customer service, and hold down a real, genuine convo all at the same time — but Nic? Nic’s built different.

Honestly, I’ll be coming back to The Station just because of him. The food and drinks are fire, sure, but Nic made the whole vibe unforgettable. If you're lucky enough to be served by him, you're in for a damn good time.

Shoutout to Nic — you turned an ordinary night into something I’ll remember for a long time. See...
