we came into this plaza on a sunday afternoon for another restaurant but ended up here instead because we saw they had $10.99 all you can eat lunch buffet. Now if you have ever been to an indian AYCE buffet, you know that it's really not a hell of a lot of variety but we would have spent the same amount else where for just one plate of food anyway, so i figured we might as well give this a try.
The restaurant is downstairs, tucked away in the corner of the food court, inside is small, probably about 7-8 tables. though small, there were plenty of diners here on this sunday afternoon. the buffet/hot table looked good and consisted of your normal indian dishes such as white basmati rice, yellow basmati rice, chicken tiki masala, chicken curry, mushroom masala, palak paneer (spinach), tandoori chicken, there were a couple of other vegetable curry dishes which i do not remember the names of. there were two dessert type dishes and a pretty basic (very basic) salad section which i did not try. Regular naan or garlic naan also comes with your buffet. We had the garlic naan, it was freshly toasted, thin and perfect for dipping into all the sauces.
i, of course, always load up on protein so i went for all the chicken dishes first and added the vegetables dishes on the side. i enjoyed EVERYTHING i had from this buffet. The ONLY thing i would avoid is the white meat from the tandoori chicken because it was really dry. i went back and got a dark piece and it was MUCH better.
the staff was super attentive and got our water and took our dirty plates away quickly. my beau also had a bottle of the Indian beer (pilsner) which he said was too light for him but perfect pairing with the this type of cuisine. if i come back again, i would do the lunch buffet because the price is just right and i can eat as little or as much as my...
Read moreThis restaurant need to be CLOSED ASAP for complete APATHY and INDIFFERENCE to the HEALTH and WELL BEING of customers. The food to go is served in styrofoam containter with PLASTIC LIDS which THE PLASTIC PARTIALLY MELTS into the hot foods. I told the owner about this and he agreed to replace the food, but then HE REFUSED. The Health Dept, Police, CIA, ICE, EPA and FBI need to INVESTIGATE ASAP. This low quality plastic lid melts into the hot food of the styrofoam container. The owner, ASHU, is AWARE of this as there has been another review on Yelp with pictures from 5 years ago showing this PROBLEM. This is a HUGE ISSUE because this INGESTED PLASTIC is CARCIOGENIC and CAUSES CANCER. This should have been dealt with when ASHU first became AWARE of this IMPORTANT and DEADLY ISSUE more than 5 years ago, BUT he refused to change anything because he can get aware with it because HE IS CHEAP, and only concerned about MAKING MONEY, and NOT the HEALTH...
Read moreI've been going to this place for maybe about 4 years now. Each time I go, I get a consistently great experience. And each time I go, I bring someone new with me. The food is flavorful, though for the lunch buffet they tone down the spice level because of the white people, but for dinner they'll make something as spicy as you want it. Every time I go, the food is never dry, the flavors are consistent, the staff attends to the table, my soda is always refilled. I've never had a bad experience here. I give this place 5 stars for service and food, but its important for me to add that this place is meant to be like the home-style version of Indian food, the kind of place where you are fed with recipes passed down from mother to mother. It does not aspire to being a Michelin star restaurant. It's meant to be Indian comfort food, with full-service style. And that's just the...
