Red Robin's has always been one of my favorite restaurants. Today was no different. The food was very good. The freckled lemonade was excellent. The bottomless fries was also very tasty. The reason I could only give it a 4 rating was today I went there during lunch, and since I was alone the waitress forgot about me. She did have a large party to take care of however no one should be forgotten. I have a pet peeves that in my opinion always causes a restaurant to lose Stars. One of my pet peeves is when whatever beverage I am drinking at the moment, if the drink is empty and no one comes to refill it within 5-10 minutes I realize that they're too busy for my business basically. I actually waited for over 10 minutes to have my freckled lemonade refilled. Also my bottomless fries we're not refilled either, the fries I waited at least 15 maybe 20 minutes. And I was at my lunch so I did not have time to wait for this food to appear. That was very discouraged because I was still a little hungry and definitely thirsty. The waitress did make up for it a little by giving me a to-go order of the fries and of the freckled lemonade, however because she had me waiting for so long I was late returning to work. So although the food was excellent, the pricing was very affordable and enjoyed my meal I could not give Red Robin 5 Stars. My beverage was not refilled and my bottomless fries actually had a bottom to them. I am a rather generous Tipper and if those two items would have been service I would have left a larger tip I still gave her a very respectable tips but I would have giving her a larger tip and if the service would have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came in for my birthday for dinner and were told there was a short wait, we sat outside while we waited then two other groups came in like 2 minutes later, the hostess with the blonde hair and tattoo arm sleeve gave them seats, so we walked back in and asked if seating was available and she said no, then she took my number. So we went right outside the door again and more people came in and got seated. Then I got a message saying "seating is now" so I walked in and asked her if that meant seats were available and she said "no sorry" then said something about a guy putting it in? I couldn't hear her well and her tone and facial expressions were off. So then I just sat back down inside this time and we waited. As soon as we sat down she said it was ready now for seating. It was a frustrating start to be quite honest, not sure why she sat others before us and it was a bad first impression. It was crowded and busy but thats okay and expected. However we got seated and Vincent was our server, he was patient and accommodating. Because of him I raise the rating on service to 3 stars. If our experience with hostess and first impression was better I would have raised it to 5 stars. He was kind and attentive, he brought the 9.99 Burger deal on the Red Robin burger to our attention which we ended up ordering. I appreciated that. Actually sat at the bar. The guy working the bar was not very personable, nor attentive at all. When we ordered our food, I kindly asked for chips & French fries ahead of our order. We've done this before and actually, usually we don't even have to ask for it. They just bring it out. Well we never received our chips & fries. At least not until our food came out.
The chips were not freshly fried, and that was easy to discern. They were barely warm and over cooked. Like they had been sitting under the heat lamp far to long.
We had been done for a while and finally caught the attention of the bartender and ask for to go boxes. He brings them and then disappeared, without even asking if we wanted the check. I'm pretty certain that when someone asks for to go boxes, they're either ready for dessert, or for the check. I finally was able to ask him how we could log into the electronic device that is at the bar, that allows you to pay the bill. Instead of helping us log in,..... So we could get our reward points. He says, oh yeah,... Turns around, logs into his computer and prints us a bill..... WTH? At this point we just want to leave. We'll he disappears again and we sit there for a while waiting for him to take our card.
Long story short,...... Poor service and mediocre food. Yes we understand that due to covid there is a shortage of workers. Even so, customer service should always be there, no matter what.
We will probably not be back...
