I’ve been here many times, it’s one of my favorite tapas places in Santa Barbara. Very dark and cozy. Perfect for date night. My husband and I got one of the tables in the back with curtain dividers so it felt really intimate. Service was quick. Food leans toward Spanish-American, and you can find a variety of popular favorites like sliders, bacon wrapped dates, etc. We decided to order the Calamari, Ahi Nachos, Burrata the flavor and Mariscos Paella. Calamari had a nice flakiness, perfectly crisp coating. Very tasty. Ahi Nachos had a nice kick in spice and was pretty solid in flavor. The Burrata was my favorite with tomatoes and garlic; it was incredibly delicious with the buttered bread. The Paella wasn’t the most authentic Mariscos Paella, considering it had chicken; though it was still very robust and flavorful. Cocktails were strong and fruity. I ordered the Oaxacan Pear-adise, which I highly recommend for something smoky and sweet. My husband ordered the Midnight In The Garden and it was equally satisfying.

Rachel the GM of the restaurant group (Chase, Via Maestra, The Palace, Milk and Honey) was so kind to respond when I’d left a message about the Chase closure & reopening and offered to make us a reservation at one of their other restaurants. Since I’d never been to Milk and Honey we tried it. It’s tucked off State in a charming little nook and the drinks and food were spectacular. We had a great Cava and the “Sagetarius” to start which came with a smoldering sage leaf, perfect for starting off the new year with a tequila cleanse🤣. We started with the baby kale salad with pickled carrots - soooo good, then had the Lamborghinis, which is their clever name for lamb sliders which were tender, juicy and delicious with mint chimichurri sauce as well as the chicken and cream tacos, also muy bueno! We sat in a “booth” so cute and intimate! The rock feature wall and mood lighting made it feel just like being in Spain. We loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you!! Well done!!!

My partner and I came here for a date night one evening and were pleasantly excited. The vibe and ambiance are totally not what we expected, but we were happy with our experience. We sat in one of the "cubbies" that parallel the kitchen/bar area -- we particularly enjoyed that area, with the exception of the very uncomfortable back -- which was just a wall. Our service was also the hostess but tended to us really well throughout our time. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink which was SO good! Elote, black mole tacos, and the American sliders. Each dish was really good! I was surprised by the mole because it was sweeter than I've had around town -- turns out the chef is from Mexico City, which tends to have sweeter mole. Milk & Honey isn't our favorite place but it's definitely a place we'd love to come back to and we're happy to recommend to friends!

Admittedly, I'm a junkie of Mr. Alvaro Rojas's establishments in Santa Barbara. Milk and Honey, Chilangos and Alcazar all here in SB have proven the test of time. Best of all, Alvaro does zero advertising, all his business is word of mouth and his eateries are always bustling with great energy. My favorite dish here is of course, "Aaron's Salad," named after yours truly which is grilled chicken breast, mixed organic greens, pasilla chilies, jalapeños, heirloom tomatoes, finished with a hot off the stove blue cheese dressing with spices and brioche-like bread slices. When you go, try my salad, the corazon verde, blue champion, ahi salad, ahi tartar and most of all, the drinks! OMG - Best mixologist ever at M&H and Alcazar. They make up their own unique blends for the best I have EVER had habanero infused tequila passion fruit margarita - try the "Heat of Passion," if you dare. The mojitos are the best I've had in all of my travels as is the sangria. The service is friendly and you need not feel rushed through your meal. If you are a "quick diner," and don't want to wait, make that politely clear and you will be accommodated. Otherwise sit back, relax, enjoy the changing lighting scenes, local art, hand made interior construction, DJ and projection screen with a plethora of great eye candy. Great place to bring a date. For people that say the portions are too small, Wikipedia TAPAS. Tapas are to be shared with friends and I have never left here hungry. The food is just the right amount. I could go on and on, but I would just recommend going here ASAP because it will keep you coming back, it's that great! Good on Ya Alvaro and...

Tasty food but the staff was abysmal. We arrived easily an hour before the kitchen closed to maybe a half filled restaurant. We sat close to the kitchen pass and were just ignored for at least 20 minutes. No water, our menus were closed and we were ready to order, made eye contact with all three servers who had time to gossip and chat but not help us. Eventually we spoke up and asked to order, another 10 minutes before someone came to help us. This is in a half filled small restaurant. We order and expect that they would at least try to get drinks and food to us promptly - that didn't happen. The entire time this is going on the table next to us, an older couple with drinks who were there when we sat, has not been checked on once. As we are trying to get the check to leave their "waitress" walks up to them and says "the kitchen closes in 10 minutes if you want food" to which they look confused and promptly order - mind you we are leaving and this is the first time they were spoken to while we were there. They are clearly closing down and releasing staff and we still need to stop someone to get the check. Literally never been in a restaurant that's trying to close and doesn't care the guests are trying to leave and pay - very weird. Food was truly...

If you're looking for a tapas restaurant that hits all the right notes, Milk & Honey is the place to be. This cozy spot has a warm, inviting ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. From start to finish, every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, resulting in a menu that's bursting with flavor and creativity.

One standout dish that you absolutely have to try is the "Some Brie Sauce" tapa. This dish is a flavor explosion, featuring creamy brie cheese sauce that's perfectly balanced with tangy tomato and savory spices. It's a dish that will leave you wanting more, and it's easy to see why it's a favorite among regulars.

Another must-try dish is the "Patatas Bravas," which are crispy potato bites served with a spicy, smoky tomato sauce. The combination of textures and flavors is simply divine, and it's easy to see why this dish has become a classic tapa.

Finally, the "I can buy myself Cauli-Flowers" tapa is a standout vegetarian option that will satisfy even the most ardent meat-eaters. The cauliflower is perfectly roasted and paired with a tangy garlic aioli, making for a dish that's both...
