I did a side-by-side-by-side comparison of this Habit, In-N-Out, and Five Guys with a group of friends. We wanted to settle which was the best burger, once and for all. The rule was plain cheeseburgers, no extra toppings or condiments. It took a bit of coordinating to get all three burgers back to the apartment, still warm, and then we sliced 'em up and did a blind taste test. I expected In-N-Out to have a landslide victory, but while it was favoured by a few, Habit won out easily over the other two options, even for me (and I was the only person who knew which burger was which).
Overall, it's the best burger I know of. Low cost, good toppings options, great flavour. They also serve a mocha shake here and it's pretty awesome.
This location has outdoor seating by a large fountain and is always buzzing with activity. Finding seating isn't always easy, but the food can easily be taken to go, too. If you game, there are three Pokemon Go gyms located just out front, all right next to each other. Sit outside or nab a window seat near the front of the restaurant and you should be able to reach all three. Needless to say, this makes it a popular spot for legendary raid events and a good portion of the people who go to raid proceed on into the Habit. I once overheard another patron griping that the massive crowd of gamers out front must be terrible for business - I have no idea what she could have...
Read moreHi! I just recently visited the Santa Clara location with my friends around 10:30. We were not greeted upon entry and when we were scanning the menu, the associate rudely asked if we were ready. We eventually went up and another associate took our order. We ordered the chicken club sandwiches. We realized upon receipt that we were never asked what bread that we wanted. We were just given sourdough bread, when the menu clearly states that you have options. As we were wrapping up our meal, the associate that initially addressed us hovered over our table and told us that they were closed. We were just minutes away from finishing our meal and let her know we would be done soon. The manager approached us shortly after. She complained that she needed to count the money. Mind you, my friend was moments away from finishing her meal. She ranted about how she needed to get home. She asked if my friend needed a to-go box. We were clearly being rushed out and all my friend had left of her meal was a portion of bread and some lettuce. I have been in many dining establishments before and have never been rushed out. This was totally uncalled for, especially since I paid $40 for my meal. I have worked in service for years and know that customers need to be treated better. I need to be refunded the entire balance for our meal for that despicable treatment. I...
Read moreThe person at the register taking orders was not properly trained.
I ordered a meal, he rang it up as a single sandwich.
I ordered a sandwich on sourdough, he rang it up as seeded bun.
I ordered a second drink, he didn't give me the second cup and when I asked again, a woman employee in a red tee came over. I said I had two fountain drinks and she took away the water cup I asked for. I said I wanted that water cup and she had to give me another. I asked again for my second fountain drink cup and they charged me for a third drink instead.
When I complained, the woman employee in the red tee shirt said I had an attitude. I guess complaining about an incorrect order is considered having an attitude.
When we finally got our order, the ahi tuna was practically raw, not grilled.
We left!. They obviously don't want our business, which is fine with me because they lost it.
I filed a complaint with their feedback department. I know absolutely nothing will happen, except I will never go back to this place again.
Good job on losing a long time customer! I You must be so proud of that achievement!
10/5/22 follow up.
I was offered Chartickets as compensation. I tried to claim them and got nothing. It was...
