Read moreI really want to like this place. It's close to my home and a cute breakfast Cafe is exactly what this area needs. Unfortunately, both times I have been here have been disappointing. The menu is confusing. The dining area is cramped. There was a strange unappetizing smell when I walked in.
I ordered an egg dish for breakfast to go. This is advertised as bacon and cheese, to which I added avacado. The bacon was cooked beyond crispy to a consistency that reminds me of rock candy. The egg was over cooked to my taste but I can imagine someone liking it. The cheese was completely stuck on one side in a clump that I didn't discover until the end of the meal. The included toast was delicious.
So this leaves us with... The avacado. Firstly, the cashier was confusing and I wasn't even sure I was going to get my avacado. When I opened the box, I saw my extra three dollars bought me an eighth of an avacado unceremoniously dropped to the side of the eggs. That, I would have been okay with, but there was a huge brown streak running through the middle of it. I couldn't believe someone looked at that and thought "this is okay to give to someone". I had to cut half of it away just to have some that was edible.
So there we go. I'm giving this place three stars because of what I am hoping it can be. Also, their baked goods do look good which I have admittedly never tried. Perhaps sticking to baked pastries and such on your visit will produce...

When I reached Kettle'e for lunch on Nov 21 (around 12:30 PM), there was no one at the front desk hence I had to press bell. Somebody came out and took the order. It was basically 2 plates of parathas. The problem was that even after 30 mins or so the order wasn't served. I inquired at the front desk (again had to press the bell since no one was attending the front desk) and was informed to wait for 5 more minutes. After waiting for about 10 more minutes (a total wait time of 40 mins), I reached out to the front desk and again pressed the bell but this time no one turned up at all. I stood there for couple of mins and pressed the bell couple of times but no one responded. At the end, I left the restaurant and submitted a dispute to claim the transaction since I already had paid for the food but the food...
