Unfortunately for me I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. The barista Sarah black hair had a beenie who made my food and drinks I assume. Got it too me very quickly after she noticed the drink was due. Very professional attitude vs some of the other employees in the store who seemed like they were more there for friends and messing around. Spilling drinks. I was going too complain about the wait but personally having worked in this field I can say the wait time is because of people like those 2 ladies where they just mess around at work and don't actually work but just enough too say hey I'm working.
I should've left a tip for her and will the next time I go if I do as this was with a gift card. Honest feedback from a basically free visit.
Food was great the rose coffee was really good. Made just the way I love coffee.
Not too much caffeine either which was nice I was expecting a lot based off the strong flavor. But nope!. They have darker blends if you want a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Philz Coffee and have had great experiences at other locations, but this was my first time visiting this particular spot. There was no line when we arrived, but we ended up waiting several minutes before anyone took our order. Two baristas were engaged in a personal conversation and didnāt acknowledge us or other customers who had started to gather.
While I understand that Philz tends to have a relaxed atmosphere, and Iām generally a very patient person, it felt unprofessional to be left waiting when staff were visibly available but not occupied with work. One barista, wearing a Modelo hat, eventually turned around, but it seemed like she was annoyed to take our order, which made the experience awkward. In fact the group behind us voiced their dissatisfaction and ended up leaving without ordering. To be fair, I donāt think this is reflective of Philz as a whole, but it did affect the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE (2/27/24): I've since come back several times and, although the wait time is still too long, I now understand why. They have many individual serving stations behind the counter and each cup of coffee is made to order, unlike other companies where someone just pours from a huge machine of already brewed coffee. So, now I just order from the mobile app, wait until I'm notified it's ready, and then walk right in and it's waiting for me piping hot on the counter. This is an acceptable compromise for me for what has turned out to be a great flavor of coffee (Jacob's Wonderbar).
(12/31/23): Very slow service for two simple pours of coffee ($4.50 for a small). No lids, sleeves, napkins, stirrers, sweetener choices...nothing! You have ask for any of these (why???). Friendly cashier (in a cashless setup), but just not worth it overall....
