The food has been consistently past the due date, and when we showed the staff they said, "We actually don't look at these dates because the food pantry doesn't go by these dates" as though pretending it's a policy makes the federal food regulation laws somehow magically not apply to them. They used to give only edible food, but now they're handing out things that are not safe to eat and feigning policy.
Edit: Make sure you record every conversation you have with people at this location because they WILL lie and claim you were yelling or otherwise being a problem if you bring the rotten food back and will blacklist you for THEIR bad behavior.

I don't work and the people here that volunteer are so helpful and do a great job stocking the place full of food. Thursdays seem to be the busiest mornings. people are sometimes packed in there. I think that is when they get all the new food. They give out a lot of good meat and they give out vegetables too and lots of bread. There's cakes and cookies if your lucky to find some!
