Dave's Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Santa Fe Springs

Tonight was my first time trying Dave’s hot chicken. I’m going to give it a five star just because of the service I received when ordering. The cashier- Mariah, was very kind and if you need for her to run the menu, she would. Also, when my order was ready, the one who handed me my food was kind, and if there was anything wrong with my order to go to him, and he will help me- I just didn’t catch his name. This is my first and last time that I go to Dave’s hot chicken. It’s just not for me. I get the concept, but it’s not for me. I ordered the hot slider plus the chicken tender and it was spicy, but it also had another taste and it just wasn’t for me. I’m a person that eats spicy and I can handle spicy, so hot was good for me, but if I would’ve ordered extra hot, I don’t think I would’ve been able to finish it. I finished my chicken tender, like 15 minutes ago, and I can still feel the spicy on my lips. It was a good size of tenders that they served us. If you like this kind of chicken, you can’t go wrong. For me it was too greasy and it didn’t sit well in my stomach. While being there, the atmosphere was good and more on the younger generation. Good place to go with...

Please save yourself and DO NOT use this location. I have ordered from this location multiple times and every time, something goes wrong. It is clear that the employees at this location don’t care about their duties and do not value customer service.

I’ve gone in to pick up an order, and made it clear that the website stated that my order was ready - and the employees insisted that it wasn’t and had me wait. After 12 minutes, I inquired about my order again - pointing out a takeout bag that was there when I initially walked in. They turned around, saw my name on the bag and said “here you go.” When I pointed out that they had me waiting for no reason all they did was laugh.

In addition to this awful experience, I placed another order weeks later and over half my order was missing. Wish I had a better experience because I love the food but I can no longer support a location that doesn’t value...

This is my first time eating Dave’s Hot Chicken. I placed a mobile order and picked up my food in the drive-through. The Only recommendation I have is that if you are ordering online for pick up, go into the store for your food as the drive-through took quite a while with only a few cars ahead of me. However, I must say that I completely forgot my irritation about waiting when I pulled up to the window and was greeted by the loveliest person, Marcella. She greeted me with a smile and a wonderful attitude. Just when I had started thinking, customer service is dead, I was reminded that it is not, and I left with a smile on my face feeling good about my experience, thanks to Marcella. A good experience can make up for average food, but in this case, I give both the food and service 5 stars. Keep Up...
