I don't understand why they even need waiters/cashiers there. Apparently, they do it to chat and pretend to do something. My husband and I JUST came to have a cup of coffee. Do you know what coffee aesthetics is? When they serve you brewed coffee in white cups with a saucer. But they offered us coffee in a plastic cup from some unknown vessel, cold and not freshly brewed. Any request to the cashier was perceived by him rather strangely. It seemed like he was looking sideways and angry. I told him several times - just don't be angry, please. As if we had not come to a cafe, but had burst into his home. Perhaps the language barrier was a hindrance, but the waiter MUST be able to smooth things over and listen to the customer. The coffee was terrible. We came in to warm up and relax after a walk. We got neither one nor the other. Why do you turn on this disgusting music so loudly in a cafe? A light lounge is just right for a cafe. You can hardly even hear your interlocutor. In general, all the rules of the cafe were violated. As far as we understood, they were planning some kind of party and the owners of the cafe (an elderly couple) were carrying chairs and tables, while these talentless young people were standing there, loudly and rudely chatting, unable to even provide normal service. The girl in red was screaming and laughing, she was actually at work. The guy in black is not fit to work as a waiter at all, he doesn't like people. It would be better if they helped the owners carry the furniture. I felt sorry for them, the elderly were carrying, the young people were standing there and doing nonsense. You're paying them for nothing,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSummary: I like the place, itās alright, 7/10. Fun lil vibe, not a bad stop to enjoy a morning/lunchtime. Comforting, but a lil confusing for me.
Food - Okay, pretty good, 6.5/10. Got the green eggs & ham sandwich. Good bagel, nice chew, although it was burnt. Couldnāt really taste the pesto in the eggs. Eggs were a nice texture though, only a tad overdone. Ham was weird, ānitrateyā and spiced, tasted closer to store-bought salami, overpowered the sandwich. Not bad though, just not what I was expecting. Provolone, nice and melty.
Coffee - Alright, 6/10. Foam could definitely use some work. But overall, tasted good. Just a bit large, and espresso watered, (or āmilkedā down) for being a cappucino. Always recommend local brew instead as well, for a richer, fuller taste.
Service - Pretty good, nice guy, nice people, 8/10.
Vibe - Alright, 6.5/10. Kinda comforting, like the hodgepodge alright, but too tacky for me. Needs a more cohesive theme and feeling. I like it though, If I wasnāt so particular Iād be happy. Just a bit too āmix-and-matchā, especially to warrant the slight āundoneā or ābarebonesā look, e.g. slate wall in the back, sheet metal ceiling. Should go with one or the other I.M.O.
(P.S. Iām particular, my baseline is āperfectionā, and of course the subjective kind. Please forgive my harsh criticism. I only want to provide my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just happened to be looking at the menu at the door of this cafe on a Friday evening in late June. I was greeted by a very kind and lovely young woman named Haley who invited me inside to just relax and enjoy a nice dinner with some red wine. The cafe manager Daniel and hostess Mari were also so very kind and welcoming as well. They made sure that I was well taken care of. The food was really fresh and delicious. I had the ham and cheese panini with a fresh side salad and the house red wine. The salad had an excellent vinaigrette. For dessert I had the delicious Mexican Mocha drink. The atmosphere was like dining in a friendās comfortable living room. People were playing beer pong on mini game tables at a corner area of the cafe. Then at 9pm the house dj started performing some invigorating and exciting beats to get everyone on the dance floor. It all uplifted me and made feel young and happy. The cafeās motto is expressed by a neon lighted sign āGood vibes only.ā And...
