First off, I want to thank all these people who left fantastic reviews mentioning how great the staff are. My aunt and uncle own this restaurant, and they are the most generous and kind-hearted people I know. It would be an understatement if I said that they worked so incredibly hard to get to where they are now. I could not think of a more deserving couple to own a great local restaurant...my aunt is the BEST cook in our family (well actually second best, my grandma is #1). I'm just so glad that my aunt and uncle are finally in a stable position financially, since in the past they were struggling to make ends meet, especially having lost a lot in moving from house to house in order to please my grandmother (respect for elders is a big part of Korean culture). I can't even emphasize how nice it is to come and visit my aunt and uncle to see them and know that they are not so stressed for once.
So, I want to thank each and every customer who has come here and helped with business, spreading the word, and especially those who left great reviews, as well as the Korean church community here in Albuquerque who are all such incredible and wonderful people. Thank you all for helping my family, it's really all I wanted in my life is to see them happy...and it's finally becoming a reality, thanks to all of you. God bless each and...
Read moreI have been a regular at Chopsticks since the very day it opened. I grew to love the owners “Mimi and Han” very much. They were very sweet, welcoming and their energy just brought so much happiness to the establishment. Their food is absolutely wonderful and addictive! I was extremely devastated when they decided to retire and leave the business to be taken care of by family. They too are nice, but I am disappointed that with the new service, it is not the same at all. Mimi and Han were generous with the food, and prices were perfect for what they served. The new service is quite disappointing because they are definitely under serving the amount of food and now because of this, prices are not fair. I still drop in from time to time but not nearly as much as I would if the serving service was the same. I have heard “many” people saying the very same thing, while in conversation or when leaving the establishment out in the parking area and at the tables outside., which made me feel better and confirmed that I was not the only person who feels that the amount of food served is causing many to feel cheated compared to what we were used to with Mimi and Han. I love this Chinese/Korean restaurant, but the new service members need to be a little more generous with the food to make the prices worth the visit. It really is a...
Read moreHoly moly! When you find a hole in the wall with quality service and mouthwatering flavors, you hang on to that for dear life. The wife and husband couple that assist you are pleasant and polite. The prices are refreshing in this day and age.
As of 06/13/24, there is construction in front of this establishment that make it arduous to park in an already tight squeeze. I circled around twice on Park St but my my my, was it worth it.
Started with a toothsome lemon chicken that was fried correctly. The spicy orange chicken is true to its title, with a piquant sauce that marinates the meat and celery. Amateurs, have a soda or bottle water nearby when you venture off into flavor town on this one.
+++ Let’s cut to the chase, the fried vegetables are DELICIOUS. How ironic for this anomaly but it works perfectly! Deep fried eggplant, zucchini, and broccoli is just so perfectly crispy and I’m craving...
