The crème brûlée and lemon meringue cookies are out of this world. the macarons are also to die for. i’m taking the time to write this review because i’m shocked by the one and two star reviews. i don’t know how you could fault this bakery. as for the complaints about price: the cookies are gigantic and one fills me up as much as a full dessert serving. do you really expect these to be the price of a normal-sized cookie? also, we’ve all seen the astronomical egg prices when we go grocery shopping. the other one star reviews seem to say “horrible” without any context which makes me think their feelings don’t have anything to do with objectivity or the product.
considering this bakery is in prime downtown real estate, we’re lucky she can charge the reasonable prices she does for her cookies. Without exaggeration, these are hands down the best cookies i’ve ever tasted (Please don’t share this review with my grandma 😉). Lastly, we’re lucky to have a local in this spot and not another out-of-state developer selling their Western-inspired idea of what Santa...
Read moreI was eating with my wife and 3 children ages 2, and 6 on the patio of The Burger restaurant which is connected to patio of this restaurant with a wooden back door in the businesses back kitchen. We had the entire patio to ourselves. It was perfect for young children to not disturb anyone. Unfortunately on the other end of that locked door someone kept kicking the door viciously and wouldn’t stop. I guess this was their way to communicate that my kids were too loud. I went to see if maybe this was someone’s apartment. It was this business. It was closed for business all doors locked and someone was in the very back kitchen making cookies. That’s not very good to be backed up to a business with a patio and treat their customers like that. Unbelievable miserable person working back there in that kitchen. Just for identification purposes it was a brunette, light skinned lady that was heavyset. I think that employee should be...
Read moreIt's a super cute shop and the staff there is quite nice. I went there after a hike in the aspens, and this place was recommended to me by a friend of mine back home.
Knowing how difficult it is to bake up here. They did a good job making a delicious cookie. It is so much easier to bake at sea level, just to let you know. So kudos to the bakers here.
My favorite cookie was the Brule cookie, that had a creme inside the middle. That was pretty cool. The white almond cookie was probably my second favorite. It was just delicious. I did get two chocolate chip cookies, one with sea salt. Both delicious, but those were cookies more for my wife. I'm a fan of the brulee to everything.
Finally, i did have a oat milk latte. It had a hint of strawberry in it. Very cool and unique, not overly sweet. It's...
