Very dog friendly. For real. Brought a treat and water bowl right away. Sampled a couple of beers (505 pilsner and the porter) and recommend the porter for its depth. Beloved Spouse Unit (BSU) had the blackberry cider. It was a bit tart, but very strong Blackberry flavor. She enjoyed it. I also had a sample of their Bourbon and their Maple Rye spirits. The Bourbon was good with a vanilla finish if a wee bit harsh. The Rye was like an ice cream soda. I like ice cream soda. Sweet and maple-ey. I would rate it about 8.5, but I'm not really a connoisseur of Rye. For serving you go to the bar and order. Don't be in a hurry for your food. It was about 25 minutes plus. Not a problem, just an observation. If you know about it before then you will expect it. Had the tacos pastor (BSU) that were good, but somehow missed the pineapple that was supposed to be in there. I had the Honcho burger w/ fries. Better have a big hunger and a big mouth. Fries arrived luke warm, but still good. The burger was great but had to go back to the bar for a fork to finish the awesome green Chile's that dropped off. The verdict? Food and friendliness are top notch, but a little more hustle from the people behind the bar is indicated. We were about the only ones there when we arrived, so not expecting superhuman effort. Just hot fries with my $20 burger. The dog friendly dining room put them over the top. I recommend.

This place is awesome and dog friendly. We brought our 4 month old puppy here and she was a hit. Eve was our bartender and was amazing and welcoming. Eve was serving up a great selection of beer. Marisol was in the kitchen making amazing tacos with the best tortillas. Got a dog? Want some great beer? Need a snack? This is an amazing place. Seems like mostly locals and I’ll be back the next time I’m in Santa Fe. Seriously, Desert Dogs made our time in Santa Fe memorable.

Don’t come here for the cider. Only two options and they were nothing to even consider writing home about. I left a full #2 because it was so bad. Service was sub par, workers chatting with each other instead of greeting and serving us. Bartender was more interested in chatting with a “friend” instead of making sure patrons were served. For being here a limited time on vacation, I wish we would have tried something else.

I went here with a friend from out of state to explore breweries. I would say that it was a worse experience, but the ciders were worth it. The more heavy set, kinda gothic bartender was very unprofessional. When we approached the bar she looked at us in confusion after assisting another customer. When asking questions about how some ciders were brewed she responded with the the name of the beer( it was named after the process) and rudely just told us "it's how its made, that's all". Not really any conversation, reccomendations, opinions. She rolled her eyes at me when I decided I wanted to try a sample prior to purchasing a cider. After trying the sample i made my boyfriend order the drink for me because I felt like i was using HER time and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I hope this review helps. I see that several other people recently had the same experience. Otherwise, great atmosphere, music,...

One of the most uncomfortable bar experiences of my life. The manager or lead bartender was much more concerned with singing and belittling his trainee than running a good bar. He flat out screamed at his trainee for asking a question on my behalf. Which was if they had a specific chaser for a shot. I felt so embarrassed and bad for the trainee. That's like straight-up abusive behavior. He would take the mic and deliver food and sing like a showgirl rather than teach the trainee how to run a bar. Their espresso martini is just Starbucks cold brew. I didn’t get food because I was afraid of being yelled at by some rigid, unkind brat who is more concerned with his...
