My friend decided he could not take anymore and decided to leave giving me his cash to pay his part of the bill. He gave me the cash the whole time Oscar the bar tender is standing in front of us so I said to Oscar you take this cash as a tip so I will pay the bill you already have your tip. It was $30.00. After some time of trying to chock down the food that was so dry. I asked for a doggy bag. After I asked for the doggy back I said to Oscar I was going to the bath room. On my way back to were I was sitting . Oscar blurted out out to me as I'm walk up. YOU SWITCH WHEN YOU WALK. I SAID WHAT. HE SAID IT AGINE. YOU SWITCH YOUR HIPS WHEN YOU WALK. IM NOT SERVING YOU ANY MORE. YOUR DRUNK. I said to him your saying I'm drunk because I switch when I walk. He said yes. I could not believe what I was hearing. I said to him give me my bill so I can get out of here. I walked home called the manager and talk to him about the experience and he told me he would talk to him and if I was to come back next Thursday which would have been Sept 18th 2025 that he would have a man there for me his name would be Armondo. from LA cabanya. I did not find this funny and no one gay or strait should experience this kind of treatment. Please do better. Im sure it can be done. This happend on Sept 11th 2025 I arrived there at 5.09. Our returned date was planned for the following Thursday at 5.00 Sept 18th 2025. The person who invited me there for dinner called me the next day saying that he did not want to go back to taco por favor because the food has to improv and he want to meet from now on at Casablanca inVenice. Having lived in Mexico City for many years, I am very picky about the Mexican food I eat. Mexico City's restauranteurship is recognized among the best worldwide and I had lost my enthusiasm for Mexican food restaurants in L.A. because I wasn't finding the flavor any more. Today, though, we had a magical re-encounter with that old feeling one gets in Mexico City, of being pampered with exquisite food, a warmth, unpretentious ambiance and a unique tequila experience. Executive chef Christian Sanchez and the restaurant managercame to the table to teach us how to enjoy "Fulanito" tequila shots (it goes down beautifully, don't miss this opportunity)

I wanted to love this place. I do have a friend who thinks the world of Por Favor on Olympic. I've always found it to be mediocre, but not bad. Average. (much prefer Monte Alban). I tried the new place on Lincoln - and tried three different tacos. The stuff you get off one of those street stands were better. Flavor? Ho hum, but the meat - the beef, chicken and pork - were all dry. DRY. One salsa was offered (I ended up using the salsa that came with the chips). BTW - the salsa that comes with the chips at Monte Alban must have some kind of culinary heroin in it because it's addictive after one bite). I post this because I hope someone there will read it and realize they screwed up. It likely had been sitting there, warmed, for hours. If they respond here - I'll likely try it again. But for now?
