Dog owners have a responsibility to know the animal that they are sharing their life with! If you're not responsible enough to read dog psychology any books on dog psychology if you're not responsible enough to know to educate yourself about dog behavior then you don't have any right to complain when you're ignorance is not Bliss. Responding to all these bad reviews about people saying that other owners dogs are humping their dogs that is a natural dog behavior you can't stop dogs from showing dominance to weaker dogs. Dogs hump other dogs to show dominance it's a psychology thing it's a behavior thing your complaints on your dog getting humped just means that your dog is weak and the other dog is showing dominance. If your dog gets effed in the butt it's not a bad thing it's just because the other dog is dominant and your dog isn't. You can't get mad about a dog doing your dog in the butt because it's a natural behavior if you don't like it then take your dog to the park and walking around on the leash and don't take it to a dog park if you don't like natural behaviors in dogs.all of these people who are complaining about dog humping and other things really need to learn dog psychology. In the old woman with the aggressive dog that is verbally abusive I would record her and have her arrested. And that's all that needs to be done 👍 you record her call the cops press charges animal control is going to come press charges she will be reprimanded the situation will be dealt with and you won't look like...

Untamed dog + old woman. Herb Katz Park. I’ve taken my small dog here the past month and have been verbally attacked by this woman while my little dog has been physically attacked by her dog. Her dog has an aggression towards mine and has bitten my dog multiple times because of it. I’ve confronted her and explained that for an open leash dog park, if your dog is aggressive or attacks a dog there needs to be an immediate removal for the safety. She cusses me out in front of her friends and fails to leave. Then tells me to “call the cops” because she’s not leaving. My dog is terrified of coming now unfortunately. And I get verbally attacked each time now. At the end of the day it’s a public dog park people need to comply with the little rules that are there.

Overall an awesome park, well designed with lots of room for the dogs to run. Park alone would be 5 stars, except for issues caused by a very small number of people - more than once I've had to run and close the gate because a kid ran out both gates without bothering to close either. Came in the evening with nobody else there (during opening hours) and again, gates were left wide open on the other side. I also suspect some of the dogs aren't vaccinated, as my older, vaccinated dog kept getting sick when we were going there regularly. Started going to a different park that requires proof of vaccination and haven't had any...
