Charleys Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

I work in the mall and this place offers a free drink to mall employees. When you order a combo, a regular offering at $7.99 which comes with a sandwich and fries the owner jacks up the price stating it has to be a regular menu item. He has even come to my table disrupting my lunch to chastise me about requesting a free drink! I went again today and before I could even place an order he began telling me I couldn’t have a free drink! I enjoy their sandwiches but WILL NEVER go back due to the poor attitude of the owner. Reply: a free drink to mall employees is a free drink, it shouldn’t matter what I order! And btw upping the price by $2 in order to give me a free drink is ridiculous! That means the drink is costing me $2. That is not a free drink! If you truly wanted to offer mall employees a free drink you wouldn’t be changing...

The owner "Bill Lam" is very cheap he charges mall employees full price even though there is a discount. Also the staff gives out punch cards for return visits, he said the meal I bought was already on sale so he couldn't give me a card. Then he started mansplaining I had to come back and buy something at regular price. It would seem that to a business owner that handing out a punch card is the least you can do to build your business.
