I cannot believe we have an organic French bakery in our backyard. 🥳 absolutely delicious made with love by bakers who care about each patron. Sourdough loaves and Pullman loaves, real Rye (dare I say best I have ever had!), Baguettes (omg don't let me near the bag, addictively crunchy) and Croissants. 😋Run don’t walk (after all u need to use those calories for what’s in store and bc they sell out! And get u a crunchy bite of Paris in Sarasota! update: they now have Macarons that are so unbelievably delicious, of course their Pretzels are wonderful (though I miss the mustard they use to serve w it), and I am obsessed with their Challah (only on Fridays and get there early bc they run out - Best Challah hands down! pro tip: try it with some hazelnut chocolate spread. thank me later.) Brioche buns are a must get in the bags in the front. and now! BAGELS! Fresh, organic, chewy, perfectly delicious bagels right here in Sarasota! We tried the plain, asiago, and a new level of everything bagel! mmmm Update: and now they have the biggest fluffiest English Muffins!! Seriously. Are you not already in your car on the way there? What are you waiting for?

UPDATE: May 2025, two years later - I absolutely hate saying this but Bread Bandits is slipping. They no longer make their signature Galette des Roi, phone is always disconnected, recipes have changed, and I found plastic in my croissant! Respectfully they gave me a complimentary pastry… but the shop is often dirty, and they are clearly prioritizing the hotels / restaurant leaving less food for the regular customers! Past comment: As a Frenchman living in the US for over 10 years, this is amongst the best bakeries I’ve visited nationwide, I’ll even say they beat most bread makers in Paris! The croissants are crispy and delicious, but I highly recommend the Galette Des Rois - only available in January!

I can’t believe they sold this bread. In our opinion it is very much overcooked. Not sure if their bread is always like this but it was extremely disappointing. We love artisan bread. Few ingredients with sour dough starters are the best. But this tasted like burnt pizza crust. Just curious if this is the how cooked the bread always is or if this was a mistake that should have been tossed.

Absolutely love Bread Bandits! This bakery is incredible, and the team is so dedicated. Hands down, they have the BEST bagels and focaccia bread we've ever tasted! The bagels are the perfect size, not too thick, with a wonderfully moist texture—so delicious! As for the focaccia, I can't wait to get more. It's super moist and packed with flavor. Their banana bread and chocolate chip cookies are also top-notch, along with the brioche rolls. We’re staying here for two months and just discovered it in my second month—so glad we did! There’s only two of us, so we haven’t had a chance to try the bread or croissants yet, but we’ll definitely be back next year to try them, especially when we have company. We're already planning to stay for three months next year, and Bread Bandits will definitely be worth the 30-minute drive 2-4 times a week!

Big shout-out to Wyatt for the...
