The Toasted Yolk Cafe — Restaurant in Sarasota

I had breakfast at this location today. When I arrived, I was feeling exhausted and more than a little blue, for a variety of reasons. From the moment I was seated my wonderful server, CeCe, could not have been more attentive. It was as though she could sense something just wasn’t right with me. In addition to the food I ordered I also ordered an iced coffee with a shot of espresso. As soon as I received the coffee and took the first two drinks the barista, whose name regrettably, I didn’t get, came over to my table and asked how she did. It’s delicious I told her. With a huge smile she said thank you! And returned to the bar as though my happiness with her work had made her whole day. My food arrived just as I ordered it and as I ate, I was starting to feel relaxed and a little better. CeCe stopped by to check on me, asking simply, “how is everything?”. Out of nowhere, I became tearful and felt the need to over share in an effort to explain my emotions. Her intuition to share her own story with me, allowed us to realize we had some things in common. What a gift it was in that moment, to be reminded that when we take a few minutes and listen, we all have a story to tell. As I finished my meal, and prepared to pay my bill, CeCe told me it was taken care of. I was caught off guard by this random kindness and once again became emotional. The Manager, Tracy, then approached me with a warm and gentle smile and confirmed that my meal had, in fact, been paid. She said she remembered that my husband and I had been in a couple weeks prior and that I’d mentioned to her at that time how much my husband loved the green salsa they had on the table. So today when I requested a small cup of the green salsa to take to my husband Tracy didn’t hesitate to take the bottle from the table and send it home with me. This is not the kind of review I would normally post but I felt it was important for me to convey just how wonderful my entire experience at this Toasted Yolk location was on a day that I needed it so very much. The food was, as always, outstanding; the service - TOP NOTCH. Filled with genuine kindness and compassion. If you have the opportunity to visit and have a meal here you may not have the exact experience I was gifted with today, but you definitely won’t be disappointed. 10 stars from this writer/diner....

I had the most fantastic dining experience at The Toasted Yolk thanks to the incredible service provided by Mianna and Dean! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home.

Mianna and Dean's friendly and welcoming demeanor immediately set the tone for a memorable meal. They were attentive, engaging, and went out of their way to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of amazing. Their charm and sense of humor added an extra touch of fun to the meal, making it an unforgettable experience.

Not only were Mianna and Dean a joy to interact with, but their knowledge of the menu and their recommendations were spot on. They guided me through the menu with expertise, helping me choose the perfect dishes that suited my preferences.

I had a late breakfast at Toasted Yolk. I walked in without reservations at about 2:30 (they close at 3). I was greeted immediately by a friendly lady. The ac wasn’t on inside so I chose to sit outside on the patio and it was a perfect breezy day. The food was amazing. I ordered a strawberry orange mimosa that was both pretty and delicious. It was my cheat day for my fitness routine so I ordered quite a bit, I ordered the eggs deluxe with turkey sausage, cheese grits, hash brown casserole, and French toast. Everything came out really fast before I could finish up some work I was doing on my phone. It was wonderful. I literally ate all of the grits before I remembered to take pictures lol. They were seasoned perfectly, when it was time to pay for my food my waitress informed me that a lady in the restaurant had already taken care of my bill, she was impressed by how much of a strong independent woman I appeared to be and wanted to do something nice 😩😩😩. That was so sweet I wish I had a chance to tell her thank you but she had already left, maybe asking the waitress not to tell me until she was gone. That is an attest to how nice and just easy going the people of Sarasota are, without any praise for doing so. I will for sure pay it forward. I felt bad because I truly over ordered but I still tipped my waitress $20. I will for sure return for...
