There are coffee shops, and then there’s Pastry Art on Main Street in Sarasota, a place that somehow always feels like the heart of downtown. I’ve been coming here for ages, and every single time, it reminds me why I love it so much.
Let’s start with the iced mocha caramel latte. I don’t know what kind of magic they put into this drink, but it’s pure perfection. It’s the perfect balance of rich espresso, velvety chocolate, and just the right amount of caramel to make it feel indulgent without being overly sweet. It’s hands down one of the best iced lattes I’ve ever had, and trust me, I’ve had a lot.
And then there’s my go-to breakfast order: the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. I’m not exaggerating when I say this croissant is heavenly. Buttery, flaky, and just the right amount of crisp on the outside while still soft on the inside. The bacon is perfectly cooked, the egg is just right, and the cheese brings it all together into the ultimate breakfast sandwich. It’s the kind of thing that makes you take a slow bite and just sit there appreciating life for a moment.
But beyond the incredible coffee and food, what I truly love about Pastry Art is the ambience. The location on Main Street is perfect, right in the middle of everything, with the best people-watching in town. Whether you’re sitting inside soaking in the cozy café vibes or outside enjoying the Florida sunshine, there’s always a great energy here. You’ll see locals reading the paper, business people having casual meetings, and friends catching up over lattes. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to linger a little longer, even after you’ve finished your last sip.
Pastry Art is a Sarasota gem. If you love good coffee, great food, and a spot that truly feels like the heart of downtown, this is the place. Whether you’re a regular or just visiting, you owe it to...
Read moreVery rushed and very rude service! We were the only ones in line. Made my wife and I feel extremely unwelcome. Will not return. Not sure how they receive the rating they have, maybe it's employees and friends rating. Hey employees, patrons aren't coming in to feel like they are a bother to you!
Update.... It was the last weekend in January. There was a lady and a young man working. The lady was back and forth out front shutting things down. We were in there before closing time, maybe 15-20 minutes till. She went by us a couple times in a rush manner and never addressed us. Finally she went behind the counter to take our order. She was to busy speaking with the other guy there to pay us much attention. I receive more personal attention when using an ATM then what she offered. Basically a wordless transaction on her part. When the guy brought our coffee (black by the way is how I ordered it so minimal effort required by them) and hot chocolate it was rudely placed on the counter without acknowledgement. When we asked about lids, because we ordered them to go, received a quick "over there" response from the guy. Really felt as though we were invading their space and causing them to be inconvenienced. Wife and I had been wanting a coffee and hot chocolate so stopped in. After we got it the whole experience just killed the desire to tell...
