Offshore Tapas And Wine Bar — Restaurant in Sarasota

After a quick ride from North Port, we checked in and wanted to get into the pool. So, we ordered the food to go. Just 10 minutes later, it was ready for us to enjoy poolside. The next day, I again ordered food to go. Again, I was told it would take 10 minutes. I paid, and went to my room to change my clothes before I returned to pick up my order. To my surprise, I got an urgent call. It was 20 minutes after I ordered my food, and I was stuck in my room on that call when I had a knock at the door...That bartender looked at the room number I charged the bill to, and brought my food to my room!!! I actually got emotional. It had been a long day, and this woman's kindness...providing something BEYOND her job description- it just moved me to tears. I've been accustomed to the fact that customer appreciation, customer service, etc are a thing of the past. Was extremely disappointed with the service of the restaurant. I went over in the morning to order a cappuccino and some sort of light breakfast snack. When I arrived to the bar area, there were 2 servers, who were definitely busy. The only issue is I was not acknowledged whatsoever when I walked up, and not acknowledged at all while I sat and waited. Atop of that, one of the servers walked by me (directly in front of me) twice, looked at me, said nothing, and kept walking by. I sat for close to 15 minutes and finally decided to go up to the hotel front desk to get a recommendation for another place closeby to order coffee. I was given a spot located in another hotel nearby, which I decided to walk over to instead of sitting there any longer being ignored. On Dec 12, 2024, four of us attempted have dinner around 6. We arrived a few minutes late because the entrance off of Boulevard of the Arts requires use of a room card to enter. We were headed to watch the Sarasota Orchestra (across the street) at 7:30. There were between 15-20 people counting folks at tables and at the bar (about 1/4 - 1/3 full I’d guess). We ordered, received drinks. We were promised food was coming. At 7:20 we informed the waitress that we were leaving. She provided to go boxes for three of the four dinners that were prepared.
