CitySide — Local services in Sarasota

My husband and I have lived all over the world with the military. We have rented houses and apartments; we have owned houses and a condo. We now live at CitySide apartments and we absolutely love this property! This well-built newer building has both safety and convenience going for it, completely contained within the property so once you drive into the well secured parking, you have all the amenities that you need.

CitySide is located in the heart of Sarasota with all types of cultural events and restaurants within walking distance. Sarasota Bay is just a few blocks away and there are several parks close by. You are in a dog friendly town and CitySide has a fabulous well cared for dog park right within one courtyard of the building. The other courtyard has all the social amenities for people. A large heated pool, lounge chairs, and conversational seating areas around fire pits encourage residents of all ages to intermingle. There is a grill area with tables and seating that can be used by anyone wishing to have a meal outside. The landscaping and continual care that is taken throughout the inside and out at CitySide is absolutely top notch.

When you live here you want to enjoy the amenities. The fitness center has the latest equipment and there is a separate room for the many fitness classes that are provided. Every Saturday there is a Brunch and every month there are many social activities. Beverages are provided at all times and the Cyber Café is a great place to work or meet other residents. You can even reserve a space to have a private party. If you wish to bicycle in the area, CitySide has bikes to sign out, or you can store your own bicycle in the bike room. There is a shuttle service and guest apartments available.

The apartments are really ideal. Many have balconies and all have granite counter tops and lots of storage. The halls and apartments are quiet, and each has its own AC unit. Every unit has its own large sized washer and dryer and all the appliances are up to date. Every bedroom has a bathroom and large closets. The floors are easy care and you can decorate to your own personal design.

With all the wonderful things there are to say about CitySide and its great location, the best part of living at CitySide is the personnel! I have never had an entire group as friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated as the staff working here! Everyone has a smile and will always stop what they are doing to see if they can be of any help! Because of the Concierge concept and great amenities, I want to live at CitySide...

My experience at CitySide was very positive for the most part! It's a beautiful complex with stunning apartments, amazing amenities, state of the art gym with free fitness classes weekly and management is very involved in the community! We had experience a leak in our unit after 2 weeks of moving in that was due to a construction error and the 2nd management company that was there at the time helped us every step of the way, even housing us in their guest suite while they corrected the issue. We would have stayed another year, however the price we were paying for a studio apartment is a little crazy (1200, but they cool thing was they did offer to keep rent the same for the first residents of the complex and put in a backsplash tile in the kitchen, which I thought was super awesome of them to offer!). We're not rich people and it was hard to really enjoy the complex as we were working to keep a roof over our heads. The only thing I'd recommend is lowering the prices of the studios to something a little more modest, or having optional add ons to help with the price so more people can afford to live in nice new complexes and in safer communities. We suffered the price tag to ensure we could live in a safe secured complex with new fixings. Although I doubt that will be considered an option in the future, I will say you will NOT be disappointed living a CitySide (especially if you're stable enough to do so :) ) as you will not even find a high end luxury hotel can even meet the high quality standards and care this complex has for...

Life at CitySide has truly been amazing! I’ve lived here for nearly four years now, and it’s hard to believe how quickly the time has flown by. When I relocated from New York, I was truly nervous about what Sarasota would offer. I already loved the charm of downtown, and I hoped to find a beautiful place to call home.

As an interior designer who appreciates thoughtful aesthetics, I knew the moment I stepped into the CitySide lobby that this was the place for me. The space felt light, warm, and elegant—exactly what I was looking for.

The amenities here are exceptional. The pool area feels like a luxury resort, surrounded by lush trees and vibrant bougainvillea, creating a peaceful, tropical atmosphere. As a puppy owner, I also appreciate the large dog park—it’s not just a patch of grass but a spacious area where pets can run and play freely.

CitySide also offers thoughtful touches like complimentary Saturday breakfasts (which I really should take advantage of more often!) and fun community events. The residents are friendly and respectful, and I’ve never had issues with noise from neighbors—it's very quiet and peaceful.

I’ve even hosted a few events in the Cyber Café, and the staff has always been accommodating and helpful. With The Opera House, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall just five minutes away, Armand's Circle and Lido Beach only 10 minutes across the bridge, and countless venues nearby, this location is amazing!

I am so happy to have found a gem...
