Sarasota Municipal Auditorium — Attraction in Sarasota

Love going to showstoppers there!! this is not a flea market, its a city building that they rent out once or twice a month and call it a flea market. Plus they charge to get in, witch no other true flea markets do. Since the city owns it they don't have to abide by their own zoning codes, and the best part is they refuse to define what a flea Market is under the zoning definitions. The city also does a similar thing with farmers Markets so they have one in the middle of down town, yet if you try to do it they have all kinds of rules they brake. We had a wonderful time. Music was wonderful. Musicians very talented. Venue was so so. Seats uncomfortable and difficult to see the performers on stage from seating as seating wasn't graduated amphitheater style but all at one level. Even with musicians elevated on stage it was hard to see them and all the candles. See photo. I happen to be short and it was difficult to see. Maybe do a 5 minute intermission so people can stand and stretch legs. My rump fell asleep in the chairs. Stretching at intermission could...
