My daughter and I have been here several times and it’s been very good each time. Yesterday tho (April 2nd) was so much more than usual. We came in around 2:30-3:00 without knowing that they were in transition from lunch to dinner for the buffet. There was very limited items to choose from (understandably so). In the middle of chatting with my 9 year old about what we wanted to do (possibly head somewhere else for lunch), our waitress (Kait) and a gentleman who I had THOUGHT was a cook (Al) both approached us and offered to cook anything we wanted and put it on the buffet and bring to our table. They literally ON THE SPOT cooked us bacon, eggs, hash browns, spaghetti, and chicken strips. Not only that, but for the “inconvenience”, which is was not at all, we were only charged for 1 buffet. And lastly, they had a leftover Easter basket from the weekend and our waitress offered for my daughter to have it. Now previously when I stated that I thought Al was a cook, I come to find out before we leave that he’s actually the owner! I have to say I have never experienced such kindness and service as I did from the both of them. We were both just amazed and will forever have us as customers. I hope both Al and Kait see this. I hope they know how appreciative we are. On top of all of that, the food is ALWAYS so good! I recommend for everyone to go out and try them. You will not be...
Read moreWent here about a year ago and had a good experience. This time was totally disappointed. We got there after 12:00 noon and the place was really dead. Only 4 other people which should of been a red flag. Buffet price was $15.99 per person. Wished I would have checked the buffet before paying the amount for three of us which was over $50. After being seated went up to the buffet and the food looked as if it was sitting for quite a long time and didn't look fresh. It was after 12:00 noon and the eggs and some of the breakfast entries were stamped 8:00 a.m. many stamped 10:00 a.m. Much of the food on the buffet did not look fresh. It look like it probably was saved from the day before. Also noticed our server picking food from the buffet. I saw one of the people from the back come out and just throw some of the food that was sitting for a couple hours already. I mentioned this to the hostess and she said everything was in compliance with the food codes of the village which I truly doubt. There were times stamped on the food windows . Many items stated 8:00 a.m. and some 10:00 a.m. we were there at 12:30 pm. A real disappointment .If you want to spend $15.99 for a single buffet that is in not fresh and recycled and not rotated this is definitely the place for you. The worst part I was so mad that I threw down $51 and some change at this place. What a waste of money. Will...
Read moreHave been here before, but this visit was hugely different. Was asked to pay right away, told they are "trying out" a different process. Wasn't given our card back right away and told she'd give us our card at the table. Was seated, then the girl proceeded to walk away with our card. Went to the front to ask for it, and they were putting it in their check out book for me to sign. Seems like a huge flaw. Why not sign up front? So came back to my seat as I figured I'd sign after we finished and were provided services so I could tip properly. Instead, a different girl came to the table about a minute later, and asked for the book back and the little receipt. So i quickly signed and decided on a cash tip instead. All that to say, is the first 5 minutes were extremely chaotic and made me feel as a customer, rushed to pay. What if I didn’t have cash? Am i suppose to leave a tip right off the bat before I get serviced for drinks etc. Not to mention, just because it's a buffet with the flat fee, doesn't mean I don't want anything else and should be forced to then pay twice if I did? I was contemplating getting a coffee flight, but then quickly realized I'd have to go through the payment process a second time and changed my mind. Seems like a loss in profits in my opinion with this...
