It's located inside the TA travel center and I recommend stopping in this one as the vibe is nice, the employees are friendly. The truck shop's staff know their stuff. The homie with the long hair replaced my tires very quickly. And you have some unique food options when it comes to TA's in general. One being this Charley's Cheesesteaks.
The food: It's nothing earth shattering, but you get a pretty large portion for a somewhat fair price (the oldschool cheesesteak large is around 14$). The quality of the food, again is not mind blowing, but it is very satisfying and I have no complaints about my meal.
You aren't going to drive off thinking "that was the best cheesesteak I've ever eaten", but you will be happy you stopped here I think. Also it's way more likely you'll find parking here than at the nearby Pilot. The lot is just bigger, and that Pilot has too many reserved spots. If you go to the Pilot you can park on the street though.
I ordered the OldSchool Cheesesteak with provolone instead of cheese sauce and adding a small amount of mayo. It comes with sauteed onions and extra steak. But they have a pretty big menu with a good amout of variation like chicken cheesesteak, philly cheesesteak, fries with various toppings, chicken teriyaki cheesesteak... So maybe they have something that's a lot better and i just haven't tried it. But to my taste, the OldSchool is certainly worth it and a safe choice for cheesesteak enjoyers.
Oh and they have a small seating area of three tables with six seats. You might not expect that from a place like this. But its nice to have the option to sit down and eat or just to take a load off while waiting for the food. Its not like Subway or Jersey Mike's where they make it in front of you. It's an 'order and wait' place. And it was pretty quick service. I was waiting maybe 6 minutes for the sub. They do a good job there.
