This was one of the worst dining experiences my fiancé and I had in a very long time. Toni's steak house while providing a great atmosphere and ambient setting fell quite short on both food and beverages. Our waiter provided excellent service and timely responses to questions regarding their curtailed Valentines Day menu, however the food and drinks brought to us were less than appealing. We began by ordering from their cocktail menu requesting a Blood Orange and Gummy Bear Martini, both came as temperance drinks; as if completely watered down. Though disappointing we carried on with dinner by ordering from the abridged menu. I order the Garden Salad, Oysters Rockefeller appetizer, and Grilled Snapper entrée while my fiancé ordered the Iceberg Salad, Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer, and Prime Rib Entrée requested to medium. We were first delivered a basket of what seemed to be ordinary warm bread for the table but upon first bite it was excessively salty; we could not finish. Next came our appetizers, cooked to perfection and paired with beautifully accented arugula the Fried Green Tomatoes stole the show but the Oysters, though plated well, gave off a pungent smell and upon consumption tasted awful. I politely asked if they could be traded out for another appetizer and while my request was met with some hesitancy and forewarning about sending food back I opted for the crab cakes and that was an even worse decision., of 1 large patty tasting of defrosted, Freezer burned, thawed seafood. We then received our salads which contained large chunks of iceberg lettuce in both versions with haphazardly thrown in garnishments of tomatoes and grated cheese. We then moved on to our main courses to finally round off the worsening evening and it was the pinnacle of unseasoned and careless cooking. The medium steak came VERY rare with blanched asparagus and what tasted like box mashed potatoes. I was given a tasteless cut of fish, unseasoned blanched broccoli and again the box-like potatoes. The conclusion to our evening was marked by a bill that indicated exorbitant prices for very lackluster cuisine. We hope that the Valentines Day modifications and rush are what caused such a poor quality dining experience but we unfortunately will not be returning to compare.

Chose to dine here because it was close to our hotel. Arrived 6:15 pm on a Friday and were seated right away. The interior is small but intimate, very clean, tables are aptly spaced so it certainly didn't feel cramped. We started with an order of Fried Green Tomatoes. Five slices arrived served on a scant bed of Romaine lettuce. They were okay. The coating was nice, thin & crisp but not really seasoned. There was a slight drizzle of Remoulade, but not enough. Also ordered a Wedge Salad, which arrived not as a wedge but two slabs of Iceburg lettuce with two small sliced grape tomatoes, and a sprinkling each of Chopped bacon, blue cheese crumbles and some sliced scallions. I didn't bother taking a photo, since there was nothing remotely attractive about this dish. Barely ate any of this, just pushed it aside and let the server take it away. It was a waste of $8.00. For entree we chose the 14 oz Ribeye with mashed potatoes and upgraded to Asparagus. The plate arrived with 7 Asparagus spears, a small scoop of mashed potatoes and a sizeable ribeye steak. The steak was seasoned nicely and cooked exactly as requested, but was terribly sinewy, more like what one would expect from, say, a Texas Roadhouse sirloin (actually that might have been better). In fact, as I was attempting to cut a piece off, I was able to pick up the whole steak by a "string". The Asparagus was also cooked nicely, retaining a little crunch, but wasn't seasoned at all. The mashed potatoes were just blah, very dry, nothing special. Service was very good, our server Bunny was pleasant, personable and efficient. Though she was made aware of our dissatisfaction, she made no efforts to rectify any of the issues. The bill came to $70 & change before 20% tip. I left the restaurant feeling let down. Definitely the least satisfying meal I've had this whole week of traveling. This will not be on the "return" list for the next time we're in the area.

Big flavors and fantastic staff make this a top tier eatery. I consider Toni's to be my favorite steakhouse in Georgia. From the moment you walk in you can feel the energy the owner provides to his staff and customers. To sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail while watching him easily handle 4-5 orders, request, phones and inquires at a time is a show all by itself. We had decided on the Chateaubriand for two prior to arriving. We had already tasted the Ribeye and Salmon on a prior visit. We chose two orders of the steamed asparagus, wilted spinach and sautéed mushrooms as our 4 sides. The vegetables were perfect and the main course was presented and cut at our table. The flavor exploded from the first bite. I always try to notice what others are choosing to explore while I eat so I can enjoy their presentation also. The dining room and bar were getting busy already even though we chose an early dining time. I watched as the owner moved from up front to the kitchen area to prepare for the crush of orders already starting. The chateaubriand was absolutely fantastic! the sides meshed with the main course and before I noticed I was completely done and clamoring for dessert. The choices all sounded good but my wife decided on the tiramisu and chocolate hazelnut cake. A grand finish to an excellent night of dining. I am now jealous of the local in Savannah that can visit this little piece of heaven on a regular basis. My 3 hour drive to enjoy it will always be worth it to me. So Hats off to a fantastic dining experience, if you have not tried this gem yet, make your reservations now! Say Hi to Tony and enjoy the show.

Came here to celebrate my daughter and aunt’s birthdays as a nine top. I was very pleased when I called and made reservations earlier in the day and was totally fine with being split into 2 booths. I knew it was last minute and I had no problem with us being separated. We were seated immediately even though we still had a few that weren’t there yet. However, no one even acknowledged that we were sitting. Several employees repeatedly walked passed our tables and not one person even said that they would be over to get our drink order soon. We finally got someone to come take a drink order 30 minutes later and asked for the high chair that I said we would need on the phone when I called. Bar drinks arrived with in minutes, regular drinks took another 20 minutes. Still no high hair. After asking 3 times, and getting up to find one for ourselves, someone finally brought it to us. We haven’t even ordered yet, our drinks were empty and we had been there for over an hour at this point. When we finally got to order, our server didn’t even notice our empty drinks, and only came back when he brought the bottle of wine over that we ordered. You could tell that they may have been having staffing issues like everyone else, but it was not very busy and they had enough staff walking around to handle the small dining room. Once our food arrived no one had any complaints, except that we never received our salads but that wasn’t a huge issue. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but we never saw our server until I got up to ask for the manager. I was greeted by the bartender that rolled his eyes and told me that they were really busy and no one was available to speak to me. Our server came out of the kitchen at that point and I told him my concerns and he admitted that he had not been very attentive to us. The manager never bothered to come speak to me (I later found out it was actually Toni) and wasn’t offered any adjustments or apologies. With all of this being said, I have been in the restaurant business for about 25 years and I train wait staff and manage a restaurant that has more tables and less employees and I would be horrified if our entire staff were this slack and rude. Our table’s bill was over $400 to which we added a 30% tip. I certainly expected more from this place, given the word of mouth reviews I received from friends and my own customers. We would have been better off at Longhorn, which is where my daughter asked to go to begin with. We were highly disappointed and will...

Pricey and not worth it.

It was my first time here. I made a reservation for 4 people. As my daughter and I walked in, I was greeted by the host. She confirmed my reservation, went to the bar and asked where are the other 2 individuals. I informed her "they are in the parking lot" she then told me she couldn't seat us unless we are all together? I asked "why, because that doesn't make any logical sense?" She informed me "It's easier on the waiter, you also need to wait at the lobby". Confused by this nonsense, I decided to go to the lobby. The lobby was like an oven since it didn't had AC. You already know... the tone for a disaster has been set. I wanted to leave but everyone was hungry and wanted to try their food. The waiter was friendly. We order the Fried Bacon to start and a couple of drinks. Tbh the Cotton Candy drink is amazing. Once we got the fried bacon it was two strips cut in half slightly thicker than the thick bacon you can buy at Sam's club. It tasted like bacon with a little sweetness, not worth the price. After the bacon, the bread arrive and it was fresh and delicious. Then we order the food. It was 1 M.rare Lamb Chop, 1 M.Rare NY, 1 M.Well fillet and chicken Alfredo. The lamb chop was more of a medium to medium well. The NY was a medium. The Fillet was a medium. The Alfredo was bland. My son had the lamb, he didn't care because he was hungry so he ate it. My daughter had the Alfredo, we added salt. My wife had the fillet, she ate some of it, took the rest home to re-heat it. She also had the mash potatoes that lacked flavor. I had the NY, and I usually don't complain about stuff like this, but I honestly sent it back due to the price and I was already moody cause of that dumb policy that makes little to no sense. Again, the waiter was great so we took care of him.

To sum it up... NEGATIVES: I don't understand their seating policy, especially when you have a reservation. Their lobby is like an oven. Fried bacon was just bacon with a bit sweetness. Food temperatures were off. Some food items lacked flavor.

POSITIVES: The waiter was very professional and knowledgeable. The beverages were great. The bread was amazing. Some food items were good.

Will I go...
