We were traveling from Philadelphia to Disney and stopped in Savannah Ga. to rest. We were hungry from the over night drive and asked at the hotel where to eat. When they recommended this place they described it as "like old country buffet." There was nothing about ocb that we wanted haven driven so far so we picked a different place. When we got there we found out we weren't dressed appropriate for the other restaurant so we begrudgingly came to old times country buffet. Omg did we almost miss out! This place is a gem. Everything was delicious and tasted like it was made in house. If it wasn't, you sure fooled me. I don't even like pork chops, but these were so good I had go back for another one. The desserts were out of this world. I can't say how much I recommend this place!

I wish I had gotten her name, but the server was really great very attentive. They need to do alot better with cleaning. The bathroom is never clean as well as our last visit the plates were extremely dirty with food still on them. Plastic plates and silverware is a must here. Although they do have a good variety of food everything was not so great. The chicken was nice, hot, and good. The cabbage was ok to me I would eat it again. The macaroni could definitely use some tweaking. The catfish I didnt get a chance to try. The fruits of course were canned fruit. The desserts suck. The string beans were also somewhat good. Last for not least the gravy for the mashed potatoes had a weird taste and was dried out and overly thick. With that being said you can not beat the price.

The food was HORRID! I bet 3 day old dumpster food tastes better... the chicken thighs were RED inside and I asked to speak to the manager. Instead of the manager coming out to speak to me, the waitress, who was nice, took my plate to the manager and came back with the excuse of "we smoke it, the manager said it's fine." The boiled corn on the cob had been sitting in water so long that the kernels were concave. The Mac n cheese was disgusting, tasted like straight black pepper...and the layer of cheddar cheese they put on top before baking it wasn't even fully melted. I wish I had taken pictures of everything but didn't think I would be making a review until the very end when the manager refused to speak to me directly. I honestly don't know how people eat there...

I visited this place for dinner which I guess started at 5pm since I was charged a dinner rate.. adults are $14+tax with no drink..and kids $8.99+tax without drink. The price was a bit steep for me and the food was not that great. My kid got an upset stomach maybe within 10 minutes of eating mac and cheese, there was a horrendous smell (like old garbage) near the back station mid dining area that floated over most of the tables there 🤢, almost did not stay. The variety of food was condusive to a Sunday meal. The collard greens were bitter like vinegar which is not my taste, I only mention it because that taste stood out, not in a good way. I enjoyed the fried fish, shrimp, and some type of chicken gumbo, and the salad. Omg if you guys want people to eat here, improve cleaniness & smells, along with maybe some more updated food choices..maybe a co-chef if its feesible.. the flavor for most of the food was not familiar to a southern flavor. The dishes were in an area also not familiar and I was not the only one walking in circles to find them. On a good note, I did see consistant change in the food trays as well as wiping around the food station and redirecting of filthy people who cross contaminated serving utensils.. 😒, but like I said, the kicthen worker had no problem redirecting them and removing said utensil. I don't visit often and the above issues are why, improve those and I may recommend the place, but not...

This experience was a little bit meh. The restaurant is easy to find and there’s plenty of parking. Inside, there were plenty of seats. What we noticed right away is that the cleanliness was a bit off. There was a crowd of people standing right in front of the entryway smoking. Many of those people were still there when we left. The carpets were not real good and all of the empty tables were sticky and still had food residue on them. There was a lot of commotion inside, which was a little uncomfortable. There was a pretty good selection of food, but I would say most of it was just OK. Particularly my wife was very displeased with the food selection and she didn’t eat too much. The air conditioning inside also was extremely cold and that also made primarily her and the kids meal a bit on uncomfortable side. I noted the service at three stars. The people at the front were very helpful, and then there was a lady who took care of our table who also was very helpful. However, she told us that the person who is supposed to be waiting on our table was nowhere to be found. She took on our table, even though it wasn’t her area, and I appreciate that. But the entire time we were there, I don’t think we saw the person who was supposed to be waiting on us. Everything just seemed very disorganized. We may come back here in a pinch, but I don’t think this is going to be...

UPDATE 2:

They may have new cook and some staff. Food is delicious now especially the baked spaghetti and chicken, ribs. The LCB is what it is. Catch it when it first gets set out though. Go see for yourself!😎

UPDATE: went back using the "2 free comp card"...

Nothing Has Changed. Worst food ever except the salad. Dessert choices are minimum and the same..

I'm done won't go back! Seafood (low country boil = LCB) served Friday & Saturday. No crab legs though. LCB was overcooked because it was sitting under the hot lamps all day. Fried shrimp - hard..yuck. Vegetable soup - no flavor..yuck. Baked spaghetti - bottom burnt..yuck. oh yeah they give you plastic utensils and plastic cups unless you ask for regular utensil so that you receive a knife to cut food. Drinks sold separately and Water is $.99 cents. 🙄 Manager came to my table. I explained to her the issues with everything mainly the LCB. Received credit for future meal. I used to love this place but Ole Time has doubled their price and its never Senior Day whatever day they tell you to come. Don't think I'll go back except to use the free coupon I received. Just too expensive and don't want to flip a coin that the food will be ok. Not recommending this place but try it at your own risk maybe it'll be OK...
