Read moreWhen I got there around 6:30 pm doing dinner time. I was with one of my friend that he was white and his family have all ready paid for his seat. It was very odd that they made me paid upfront and I have to show the lady at the front. And she gave me a look like she didn’t care gave me my table with my drink. My friend have found me and told me to come to there table. As I took my cup and plate to there table. As I seat down and talk to my friend mom and his whole family the service came at out of nowhere about where my receipt? And I just paid my $20 until the man that I paid came up the my receipt. They didn’t apologize and nothing. And never in my 25 years in my life and coming to that places for 5 years with friends that I been in a racial profiling. And fearing of getting kicked off because I move to seat with my friend family and I was scared to get so more food and been watch. And found out the same day that they will charge me again if I want to take my food home by pound. The last time this place gave me the worse problem when my mother found a fly in the food. I’m 100% never coming back to this place. Any black people who read this please don’t go to that place at all. It sad that my friend family feel bad for me almost got kick out after paid $20.
More update: I have called and one of the manger told that he apologized of what happened and it was busy and confused. And I told him I understand that but when it happened from the server they didn’t apologize when it happened and I felt it was racist. Then get get mad at me and put me as them people when I came in calm in the building and with the guy. I try to keep my cool but they only offer a gift card after a couple days but I have a commitment from the owner yesterday and I can’t get my money back. I’m a really shy person and never experience this before it now made it worse. How am I supposed know the policy that you treat everyone right but judge in a heart when no one apologize when it happened in front of people. And on top of that. Your management and everyone’s in the front need to go after my phone call. Until the owner talk to me personally I will continue to call and something better than a gift card after going through the...
Read moreIt wasn't busy and they crammed most of the people into two areas. They have this demeanor about them that I just can't put my finger on. It's like a.... you can come inside but don't take your shoes or coat off type of vibe.
As we walked to the table he says to me, "sweet tea for you?" And begins to write it down. I low key felt judged, even though I'm sure that the majority of African American people that come here order sweet tea, I opted for the lemonade to make a point.
I went straight to the hibachi and had to wait almost 10 minutes even though a lot of the BOH employees walked right past me. I finally got the attention of the busser and asked him to get somebody, the somebody that came out wasn't polite at all and I almost felt like I should skip on the hibachi.
I tried a small amount of a few items, anything sautéed with broccoli was good, the white rice was perfect, the lo mein was good too after the fresh one came out a hour after I came, the crawfish were great in comparison to the fried crab, the fresh sesame chicken was good but the sweet & sour chicken wasn't edible, the fried chicken was decent but not the Buffalo wings, the sushi bar looked dim (some sushi rolls were untouched and others looked like they had been sitting for way too long) oh, and the crab ragoons weren't so bad. A few of the items looked like they were sitting for awhile and dry so I didn't waste my time. The beef from the hibachi left a bad taste in my mouth so two bites in and the plate was dead.
The rotation of food wasn't quick at all and that resulted in cold/dry food which was a disappointment as well. Also, the servers here are more like mall security or parking lot patrol. They also go from mopping/sweeping/cleaning to handling the rim of your cup it's unsanitary and disrespectful!!! I felt really rushed even though I barely ate and being able to sit back and relax is honestly the one thing I like about buffets because it's rare to find one where the food just sweeps you off your feet.
The price didn't match the quality and I won't be rushing to come...
