Unforgettable Bakery + Cafe — Restaurant in Savannah

I ordered a caramel cake in person because it was for a bridal shower and I wanted to make sure that the names were spelled correctly and that it was decorated appropriately for the occasion. When I went to pick up the cake, hours prior to the shower, the top of the cake had no lettering or decoration. The young lady explained that the only lettering icing available was pink and she wasn't sure I would want that. I had no choice but to have her use the pink which was done hastily, had no decoration, and on closer inspection when I arrived home, the bride's name was misspelled. At the venue I decided that rather than present the cake with poorly executed pink lettering and a misspelled name, I would have the server bring slices of the cake . The cake itself was delicious, but for a bakery--especially one that specializes in decorative cakes, to have only pink lettering icing available is completely unacceptable. I ordered the cake a month in advance and it was made 24 hours prior to my picking it up---more than ample time to assure there was more than one icing color available.

I did tell the bride and guests why they were being served slices rather than seeing the whole cake--and the name of the bakery.

For my birthday we planned on visiting Savannah Ga. In Daytona Beach, where we live there is no bakery that serves people with food allergies so I was on the search for a bakery that could do just that. I found unforgettable bakery and they are just that. I ordered online as gluten free and vegan were both offered as a selection. They called to clarify details and even allowed us to pick up the cake as we were leaving town on their day off. I appreciate this family owned business so much and will definitely be back again. They refused to except my two google coupons. Stating the Google did not pay them so they would not honor mine even though they were good until 6 November. Drove all the way from Claxton Georgia to Savannah. They had three items on the menu to offer not that I would order anything when you refused to honor the Groupon coupon. That is very poor business practice to me. I would never ever take a prospective customers money and not honor it. Viruses are not good business practices are good business practices.
