I do realize that this is the day after Christmas and stores are busy - and Iâve never done a negative review before. Iâm âold schoolâ, worked in the restaurant industry before, and Iâm a pretty patient person. I ordered a dark roast coffee with some flavors and creamer. After 10 minutes, we inquired about my coffee - (this after seeing everyone who ordered after we did, getting their coffees/drinks and leaving.) We were then told it was âin progressâ. After another 5 minutes of watching others order and leave, my husband inquired again, stating it had been 15 minutes, and he was asking, after watching others receiving their coffees and leaving. Again we were told (by who we thought was a manager) it was in progress and we needed to be patient because they were busy⌠after 17 minutes my husband complained that it has been 17 minutes since we ordered and we were STILL waiting, watching people order & leave - they asked what I had ordered and said theyâd get right on it. In the meantime, more people walking in ordering, mobile orders and drive through customers were continuing to receive and leave with their orders. Each time we had asked about the coffee stating the time of our continued wait, a couple baristas offered to go ahead and make it, but the man who appeared to be the manager kept telling them no, that heâd make it, except he wasnât - he continued to make other orders. When we finally had it in hand, 3 minutes later, after ordering a total of 20 minutes prior, we finally got out to the vehicle and drove off. To âadd insult to injuryâ, the pastry I had gotten to go with it wasnât quite defrosted and was cold, crumbly, and sticky⌠(I was going to post pics of my order receipt time stamp and the time stamp on my coffee cup to show just how long it took, except there is no sticker on my cupâŚ.) This is the longest Iâve ever had to wait for a...
Read moreI love Mardenâs, so having a Starbucks in the same vicinity is wonderful. This is obviously not site-specific, but I do wish Starbucks offered more diabetic-friendly optionsâespecially for drinks. I know there are some customizable options, but itâs still difficult to have low carbs and low/no sugar.
I like this new location because the seating is ideal and I have gone on weekends to do my college class assignments while having a coffee. They are super understaffed, but the staff are doing the best they can. Wouldnât recommend if you are in any sort of rush, but otherwise itâs perfectly fine if you can wait a bit.
My one major disappointment is this: two single-stall restrooms clearly marked with gender signage. What does one do if they are non-binary, for example? And, furthermore, in the state of Maine there is a law that passed requiring businesses with single-stall bathrooms to be gender-neutral versus gender-specific. Please think about being more...
Read moreShows they are open at 5am, ordered through the app, pull up and no oneâs there. See the employees all pull up and go inside. The guy with the keys to the store turns to lock the door laughing at me from inside like he knows Iâm not getting my order. At this point my order was supposed to be ready 10 minutes before. All 3 employees walked by me, one of them could have told me I wasnât getting my order. I wait another 5 minutes before calling the store. In which âHalâ said I can come get my order at 6:30am when he opens. Thatâs an hour AFTER my order is placed. I asked him for a refund and he told me I can call corporate. So I had to leave without my order or my money because sitting for an hour and waiting is not feasible. Hal states corporate is having a hard time changing hours but AFTER I left itâs funny how he changed not being able to order on the app. Rude staff, canât get into...
