From the time we sat down to the time we walked out the whole experience was terrible! I'm a very big fan of Outback Steakhouse as a matter of fact it's my favorite steakhouse in my hometown of Bloomington, Illinois and I visit regularly and I have never had a bad experience. Our entire order was messed up multiple times and there was only three in our party. What should've been a final farewell dinner with my daughter before traveling back home from visiting turned into a complete mess! My daughter ordered potoato and waited atleast 20 minutes and the restaurant was pretty empty. My Aussie Cheese Fries which I requested be layered were not layered and looked dry as if they had been sitting awhile before ran to the table. The medium well ribeye came out well done with one side made incorrectly. While once again my daughter had to wait an additional 10 or 15 minutes for her main entrees which should've came out with the other entree. When our entree came out after being made over the steak was good but yet again one of the sides were made incorrectly again. From beginning to end almost every item ordered came out incorrectly and we had to wait to be made over and all entrees came out at different times so not everyone got to eat together as a Family. To make it worse not one thing was taken care of for all the mistakes made and the front of the house manager didn't bother to even come to our table to acknowledge the mistakes that were made and try to correct the experience. On the way out the door after clearly knowing our experience was totally uncalled for the manager stood up front by the host stand and didn't say a single word not even had a good night. I'll never return to this location ever again. Very unacceptable experience! Do better Schaumburg Outback...
Read moreI never write negative reviews, but this experience really bothered me.
I’d like to begin by saying that the beginning of our experience was good. The waitress was very kind and patient. We ordered appetizers which came out quickly. My partner ordered a bowl of soup that came out perfectly as well.
I ordered a NY strip steak, medium rare. When the steak came to the table, the inside was definitely rare. I tried telling the waitress this, and she then insinuated that I did not order correctly. She asked me if I wanted medium instead and I said no, medium rare. I showed her the steak and she agreed it was rare. They took it back to the kitchen to “fix”. Then someone else brought the steak back out. He asked me if I wanted to cut into it, and I could already see where the cut was made prior to bringing it back, and it was still RED. At this point, I was very uncomfortable, and decided to just take the meal home to finish cooking it myself.
It’s very frustrating given the price of eating out these days. We don’t go out often, and now even though I went out, I’m still going to have to go home and cook it again.
I paid my bill, I didn’t hassle for a discount, I didn’t scream annd yell, and I left a decent tip as well. But I do feel like I was taken advantage of because I’m not the type of person to cause a scene. I do not feel like the situation was handled well, and the person who brought the meat back should have been able to see the new cut made and that it was still very rare. Again, overall things tasted great and most of the staff were nice, the atmosphere was nice. But my rare date night was completely ruined, and this situation could have been handled so...
Read moreI recently visited this Outback location had the pleasure of being served by Molly and I cannot express enough how exceptional the experience was. From the moment we were seated we were greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming attitude that set the tone for a delightful evening.
Throughout our meal, Molly was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed. They had an impressive knowledge of the menu, offering insightful recommendations that catered perfectly to our tastes. Their enthusiasm for the dishes and drinks made us even more excited to try them.
What truly stood out was Molly’s ability to anticipate our needs. They noticed small details, like when we needed more sauce for the Bloomin’ Onion, or when we needed a moment to chat without interruption. This level of service is rare and made our dining experience feel both personalized and special.
In addition to their impeccable service, Molly had a friendly and genuine demeanor that made us feel right at home. They engaged in pleasant conversation without ever overstaying their welcome at our table, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and approachability.
By the end of the meal, we felt like we had been treated not just as customers, but as valued guests. Molly truly went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. We left Outback not only satisfied with the delicious food but also with a newfound appreciation for top-tier service.
