El Mariache Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Schererville

My husband I went through the drive thru. I ordered a Burrito Bowl with no veggies (I asked them at the end of my order not to add veggies). My husband ordered a Taco Meal, with rice and beans and a Pepsi. When we got home and looked at our order, I had veggies in my burrito bowl and he had no rice and beans or drink. We were charged for all of it. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. When I told him what we ordered and what was in the bag, his response was: yeah you asked for the veggies to be removed at the end so they probably forgot and they should have given you the rice and beans and drink. I asked him again if he was the MANAGER, he said yes. His name was Juan. I asked him if it was standard practice for this restaurant to forget things.. he goes well like I said, you ordered veggies at the end so they forgot. I said really? that is your response? He never apologized or even offered to make the order right. I hope this is not normal but we will never order there again. We wanted them to cater a 400 person party but that will not happen either. ...

My first time visiting this restaurant and it will be my last. Just wanted to pickup food for my daughter and I before heading to the bowling alley. I ordered online, came in to pickup and notice all my items that I asked and paid for weren’t in the bag. So I came back inside and politely asked for my condiments and lime slices. Which may I add, they have you type out any additions to your order on their website and still didn’t bother to read it lol. The woman working there hands me my condiments. I asked for an extra sour cream since we purchased 4 tacos and she only gave me 1 small container 😂. Like she gave me a true dollop of sour cream lol. Proceeds to say she has to charge me for another when she didn’t even remember to put the other condiments in the bag to begin with. Very rude, & unprofessional. BEWARE. DO NOT EAT HERE! I have been a frequent customer since they have opened the restaurant. However, I will never eat from here ever again! Or any other El Salto location for that matter. I’ve purchased four meals from here today, two bowls and two super nachos. With one of the bowls that I have purchased, I’ve also gotten a side of green caterpillar/worms with it. I’ve warned my family and we disposed of all of our food because we were unaware of how many green worms we have eaten before my sighting! If that is not bad enough, I’ve made a phone call to politely inform the staff that they were serving bugs to their customers. Instead of properly giving an apology or have a refund being offered to me, I’ve gotten a nonchalant “oh okay”. There was no concern whatsoever! Horrible service. Cold food.
