I came here because less than 2 weeks ago, my Aunt (from Chicago) gave us some Giordano's chicken Fettuccine Alfredo for dinner. The sauce was thick, the chicken was plentiful and 4 people were able to eat from a tray HALF this size. So fast forward to today. My husband has been talking about that Fettuccine for DAYS so I figured I'd try the Schererville location. WRONG WRONG WRONG. Firstly, I bought a family tray and the noodles filled up half the pan. The sauce was so thin I almost thought they forgot the sauce until I tilted the pan to see some watery, thin sauce that was as thick as Skim milk. They cut up ONE chicken breast to put in the pan as well as 6 small stalks of Broccoli. The manager, Adrian was very pleasant and more than accommodating and credited me for half my meal but after 3 scoopfuls this is what I am left with. It's not his fault but better preparation is needed that actually LOOKS LIKE THEY CARE about the meal they are providing. I'm sure the cook was a nice person, but this meal in my stomach does not feel 'nice'. I wasn't going to leave a review and thought, 🤔"At least the noodles will be good" but after eating, immediately my stomach began to hurt and bubble. I've noticed that the pandemic has really hit every aspect of life particularly hard especially in the food industry. If you are reading this, take the time to cook it yourself even if you worked a 12 hr shift. If you have absolutely NO other option to eat out then please go somewhere else. Signed a Chicago Born Foodie. And P.S.- I'm almost positive that someone will reach out and respond after this review is left so here's the only option I have. Keep the $16 credit (and the apology) unless I recieve a full refund and a paid for gastric lavage to get rid of this garbage in my stomach that is triggering my acid reflux (that hasn't been triggered since I was pregnant in 2018).

I wish, truly, that I could review this pizza. But unfortunately, after being told 1 hour into waiting that it could be up to 2 hours’ wait, my family and I are walking out (over two hours later) without the pizza we ordered. Reading these reviews, it seems like this is a fairly common efficiency issue that NEEDS to be solved. You take carry out orders? Excellent. But those folks have an estimate of how long they will wait. People dining in don’t. If you’re getting backed up for customers dining in when the restaurant is slammed, you’ve got to stop taking carry out orders. Worse yet, we were told several times “your pizza is going in soon”, “you’re the next order out”, etc. I’m giving 2 stars for service, since despite what was clearly untrue about our pizza’s timeline, the manager did apologize, comp the drinks/salad we had already eaten, and gave us a frozen pizza to leave with. Somehow, locations in the city can manage a much larger load, but this one very obviously can’t, which is truly disappointing. This restaurant deserves a deeper dive into possible solutions to this issue. Either that, or risk the Giordano’s good name! Up to the management.

We ordered a large deep dish with extra cheese and sausage and the sampler appetizer. When I got home with it and we started to eat we were wondering if we got the wrong pizza.... We were both almost finished with our first piece and had no sausage yet. Then we finally had a piece or two in our slices, that's it! And they were very small pieces of sausage, like dime size! What the heck! We paid extra for the sausage and hardly any was on the pizza! There was only 16 small pieces for the whole pizza! AND THEN.... the sampler appetizer had bruschetta with 4 pieces of bread, which was good, but the rest wasn't! The boneless chicken wings(more like nuggets)were so small and literally had only 3 peices, only 3 triangle motz sticks and a garlic cheesy bread(that tasted horrible). We were very disappointed this time.. which is a shame, we never seemed to have a problem before and have had better experiences. I don't know what happened this time!!

Food: 3/5 (Decent food) Service: 5/5 (Great and quick service) Atmosphere: 4/5 (good vibe, clean restaurant) My experience today was at Giordano's. Located in Dyer/Schererville, Indiana, this restaurant wasn't bad. Great hang out space with friends and decent pizza. The food was okay. We experienced the chicken and pesto chicken pizza and the deep dish Chicago Classic. We also enjoyed the calamari! The pesto chicken pizza could have used more cheese, and the chicken could have used help. The deep dish was okay. It was cheesy, but it could taste anything past the cheese and sauce. Overall, okay experience. The service was phenomenal! Staff kept the water cups full, the service was on point, and the staff were kind. No complaints! The atmosphere wasn't special, but very clean and spacious. Nice spot to hang with friends and eat. The bathrooms were also very clean. Great experience at Giordano's! Overall, they are good.

This was our first time we've been hearing about this place so glad to go there before we had to head back home definitely ended the trip on a great note definitely will be back thanks for the whole experience the food was amazing and so was the service and the atmosphere!!
