Hi folks I had recently visited Reds in Seabrook quite a few times in the past few months. On one occasion My friend and I ordered the Salmon and I ordered shrimp cocktail & crab cakes. On another occasion I ordered the Steak tip dinner, and he ordered the Salmon again. The plates coming out of the kitchen were unbelievable and the portions as well. The only criticism I could add is when you order shrimp cocktail I wouldn't price it $3 per shrimp. I thought that was kind of expensive for 1 shrimp. I would suggest 4-5 shrimp per order, and charge accordingly. I think people in general do not mind paying more if the quality & quantity is present, at least I don't. So last week I had ordered the Steak tip dinner, take out. When I got home the dinner looked awesome, only thing was I ordered mashed & vegetable with gravy on the side, and ordered m/r steak tips. They were med well- well and their gravy was extremely salty. So I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager, his Name was Lou. This gentleman was extremely sympathetic and accommodating offered me another dinner. I told Lou I wouldn't be able to come back that night but would see him on his next shift which was a few days later. When I returned, I asked to talk with him and he remembered our conversation. He politely offered me a dinner, no charge of course but it wasn't the money I was concerned about. He made me feel so welcome and he totally agreed with me on the gravy being salty. He insisted I order something, so I ordered the crab cakes. When I got home I had it for dinner. It was very good, and that my friends is how you treat a customer. Thank you Lou, and to all the cooks, chefs, waitresses that give Reds a great reputation. I know Reds will continue to serve quality food and treat their...
Read moreWhile running an errand in NH, we were in need of breakfast. This place's parking lot was busy, and reviews seemed decent, so we gave them a shot.
Unfortunately, after a great start with our server, Stephanie, and phenomenal drinks, it went all downhill. We ordered the western omelet and on the menu of specials of the day (they open at 7 and we were in there by 950 AM), hubs opted for the sausage biscuits and gravy. Of note, there were three menus given to us, and all had breakfast items different than the other and was confusing. Anyhoo, after waiting for 20 minutes and watching other tables receive their food before us; Stephanie came to our table to inform us that when she was checking the status of our order, she learned there were no sausage and biscuits! We asked for the menu again, and a very frustrated hubby decided on 2 eggs and bacon. Less than ten minutes later, our order was brought to us by someone, not in uniform, so I am guessing she was management of some sort. She did not acknowledge the error or the wait. As we dug in, because we were starving at this point, we realized the home fries were burnt and charred, lacking any seasoning or flavor as well. The eggs were well undercooked; he asked for over easy. These were not correct! When Stephanie checked on us again, I let her see the problems and asked that she remove the plates. We left very dissatisfied with our time at Red's and will not be returning.
This is in no way Stephanie's fault; she was great. But the kitchen failed epically, and management missed a huge opportunity to make things right, if not a bit better. ...
Read moreI got a few meals at Red's, breakfast was a basic omellette and just average, nice meal one morning.
Last time I went was on St. Patrick's day to bring back the nostalgia of eating Boiled Dinners with my Grammy as she taught me (butter the cabbage, which places to go out of Lynn). The boiled dinner was between $28-$30 and had no seasonings/boiled dinner basics, no potatoes, no parsnips or other special veggies, no butter. The meat was flavorless.
The women employees help make it a good atmosphere as they are quite kind. A close family member of mine worked at Montilio's bakery at Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers and I recall issues she had working at that bakery with the owner - hope they treat the young ladies better these days as it was quite some time ago.
So I found it interesting they sell Montilio's baked goods at Red's Tavern. The 1st I tried was Strawberry cheesecake - fresh & absolutely delicious but tiny for $8.
I thought I had finally found a nearby place to get my Italian baked good fix instead of going to Boston areas. But as I went a couple times after I noticed the prices being outrageous and issues with freshness. For 2 small pastries at almost 20 bucks they should be made to order.
I know many love Red's, I just didn't have the same experience. Just give it a try and judge for yourself.

Literally bro, back off man.
Hopefully others have different and better experiences...
