I usually don't write reviews, but I'm hoping this will help them learn and grow as a business. I always give people the benefit of the doubt so maybe their system was down? But my boyfriend and I went here to grab some breakfast. We had ordered and the man at the register was going fairly slow, no big deal, he was an older man and it was one of those new touch screen pad registers they were using. He then says something happened and our order was deleted so we ordered again. My bf wanted orange juice with his order and the man said that was fine, since they had a couple left. I noticed we never got a receipt when we asked for one. Their receipt printer seemed like it had no ink in it - it was printing empty receipts. He also never handed us our drinks, which usually they give that upfront, but anyway. we had to wait outside in the sun and you can see the people working in the kitchen from the boardwalk - it's like an open window. They basically were calling out orders and whoever takes it, takes it. So, like a first come, first serve basis. It was pretty disorganized. You could see the workers in the kitchen were looking over the orders on their screen and I noticed they had to redo orders - they also seemed confused. I know a couple of people who were waiting just left because they had waited so long. I heard them call out my order, but since I literally just ordered, I waited a bit, because I thought it could be someone else's order. I also saw so many people waiting, who ordered before us. No one said anything so I got the order (bacon, egg and cheese sandwich). I went to sit down and eat while my bf was still waiting for his order. The sandwich was like room temperature warm, it was mostly bacon and bread and a sliver of egg. Regardless, I eat the sandwich, meanwhile, my bf is still waiting. When I'm done, I go wait with my bf. Finally, a seat opens up inside in the shade and we wait in there for my bfs order. Finally, my bf gets his order, and I'm confused cause he has apple juice. He tells me that they said they were out of OJ and so they gave him apple juice. So basically we waited so long for our order, the food wasn't great, and my bf didn't even get the drink he wanted.
All in all, I think it would've been best to give order numbers instead of calling out orders. That would've helped out with a lot of the confusion. I thought it might've been that way because their system was down or something, but my bf said they could've written it down on paper. But anyway, I hope this helps them or other people. Again, this was solely breakfast, so maybe their lunch/dinner is a...
Read morePossibly the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. We were looking forward to a nice Father’s Day dinner. While our server was very nice, most of the food here was inedible. My husband ordered the ribs which came out burnt and hard as a rock. My kids both got burgers which were pretty much the same, and so thin that it couldn’t even be called a burger, with a huge, dry roll instead of a bun. The server took one look when I told her and apologized, agreed with us and took those three items right off the bill. My lobster roll, while edible, was probably the worst I’ve ever had. The kids pasta was absolute mush. The crab dip was so thick and hard that it was impossible to actually dip the chips in it. Disappointing because the taste of that was actually decent. The mussels were the only thing we were happy with. Like what happened here? I’ve never been to a place where everything has been this bad. We didn’t finish anything except the lobster roll.
I was told by the server that they just opened the upstairs this year and it’s the same kitchen for upstairs and downstairs. Seems like they’ve gone for quantity over quality in this case. We left with my husband and kids still hungry, but couldn’t go anywhere else to eat because it was late and we still wasted $88 for everything else. I would not recommend this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Jersey Roll, and it was an experience worth every bite. Nestled in the heart of Seaside Heights, this gem of a restaurant offers a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere perfect for casual hangouts or a quick lunch.
The staff at Jersey Roll were exceptionally friendly and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and promptly seated. Our server James, was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. He was definitely the superstar of our experience!!
Now, onto the best of the menu – the burgers. I ordered the Jersey Burger and it did not disappoint. The patty was perfectly cooked to a juicy medium-rare, bursting with flavor, each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. The bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the components together without falling apart. I loved it! I will definitely will be coming back soon to try more of their...
