Visited this beach for the first about a week ago. I didn't realize that there was a charge to go onto the beach. My family and I just walked onto the beach. No one stopped us so we went for free. The lines to use the showers were ridiculously long so we ended up going home with sand all over us. Parking is $12-15 if you park in one of the lots near the boardwalk entrance. The food could have been better and was overpriced in my opinion. I ordered a cheesesteak and the cashier asked me if I wanted marinara sauce on it. That should have been a red flag. Who gets marinara sauce on a cheesesteak? Ew! Needless to say it wasn't worth the 7.50 that I paid for it. My son enjoyed the rides. The kiddie rides were about $3-4 each. Will I be returning?...
Read moreThe beach charges an $8 entry fee, but paying the fee is basically worthless when the lifeguards decide to go home early and the police tell you that you can no longer swim in the water. The beach sales office said that the $8 fee would guarantee you entry in the beach until 9:00 pm but the lifeguards left at 6:30. Since the beach sales office closes at 6, I bought extra tickets for family members arriving later. I could not get a refund from the staff for the unused beach tickets because the beach was essentially shut down 2 hours earlier than expected. There is fee about $8 but if you go after 6 it's free and good thing is that it's open till 3am that what guard their said, but after 8-9pm entry is only from coast guard office where the rest room is. Many adventure sports on boardwalk also many shops. We were denied entry to point pleasant beach so we had to come here. Point Pleasant was much more crowded than this which is about 20 mile.
