First off from the moment we walked in we felt like they were bothered with us being there and then having to do their job!! The place with literally empty but we had made a reservation for 6:00 weeks ago not knowing they'd be empty. I went to the host and said we have a reservation she looked at her tablet then looked at me wide-eyed and said "OHH!!! you're early" it was 5:52 she acted like we were there an hour early it was 8 minutes to 6. We were seated are waitress came over No pleasantries Just what can I get for you We ordered water first she came back with the water asked if we we're ready to order again Not do you have any questions just very short with everything and I could see if she was busy but there was literally one other table sat in the restaurant at the time oh and a different waitress I think was taken care of them. I ordered the Reef and Beef not realizing there were 2 types 1 with Filet and 1 with Sirloin when my friend ordered the 1 with sirloin I asked if I could change mine to that one and the waitress seemed quite annoyed. When our food came out it really wasn't hot our butter wasn't even melting in our baked potatoes and my steak was room temp and a little tough. Our waitress never came over after the food was brought out to check to make everything was good or if we needed anything because she wasn't the one that brought it out and instead of all coming out at once our vegetables were on one plate are on entrees on another and it was brought out two plates at a time? she did finally after we had our food for a while and then she was never to be seen again until after the plates were cleared by someone else and then she just brought the check Food was Ok but would have been much better if it was actually Hot!! That might have been why my steak was tough because it had gotten cold! And like I said the place was empty so it's not like the cooks were overwhelmed or they were busy I mean for the price we were paying you would expect the food to be hot the waitress to be friendly it was overall just not a great experience and we probably would have ordered drinks and dessert if it wasn't for feeling like they really didn't want us there. We were down there for girls weekend and I actually brought $300 cash for dinner expecting to stay for a bit and have drinks after dinner Chat and enjoy the view. Oh BTW the windows were also dirty so couldn't really enjoy the view. And believe me it wasn't because we were rude or rowdy we were dressed nice and we all work in the service industry so even though we weren't that happy we still tipped 20% Like I said it was just overall and uncomfortable experience and like I said befor the price you're paying the food should have been much better!!!! Needless to say we won't be back Sorry. I really don't know where all these 5 star reviews are from unless they are just friends of the workers!!! Oh and I forgot the bus boy was so eager to get our table cleared and us out that he tried to take my food while I was still eating literally my fork in hand and he said oh can I take that for you. Read moreWe were so excited to try this place. We came last year and needed a reservation and did not have one. My boyfriend and I were looking forward to coming here. We made our reservation three weeks in advance for dinner.
We got there and the second we sat down. We were instantly disappointed. Our server came up and brought us water. Did not ask us if we want anything else and most of all did not even tell us her name.
Our server comes back and we order steamed clams as an appetizer, and after she put that in, she was coming right back to take our order. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We sat and waited we had other waitresses coming to our table asking if we needed anything asking if we were okay and giving us more water. Meanwhile, she was nowhere to be found. We waited for a half hour for our clams to come out.
Then once our clams came out, they did not give us any plates to put the clams on therefore, they were spilling all over the table. After three different waitresses came up to us asking if we needed anything asking if we already ordered and we told them no our waiter finally came over to take our order after 45 minutes of us sitting there.
I’m just very disappointed because it’s a fancy restaurant and a pretty expensive bill For just two people. If we are paying that much, I expect at least a little bit of service. Our waiter did not bring us out any kind of food once or give us any drinks. It was always a different waiter helping us and giving us refills.
I was not gonna make a big deal about this until every other table that she was supposed to be hosting was dealing with the same issue. We understand people have bad days, but The way everything got handled was just so confusing and unprofessional. I had no clue who was our waiter.
We finally found out her name in the end, and that was because it was on our $100.00 check. Her name was Sofia. We were so excited all day for our reservations there and it is very upsetting that we were immediately met with a lot of disappointment. Read moreSo my family and I decide to drive 1 hour and a half to the Jersey Shore. We have been to the shore all of our lives. Today was different. First off, the accommodations were spot on. We walked in and they responded professionally and were able to seat all 12 of us. Once seated is when everything took a turn for the worse, mind you it is Mother's Day. It took almost 25 minutes for a server to approach pur table. My sister calls out to the manager but to no avail. Finally 45 mins into our dinner they take our orders. Soups and salads take a little more time than usual but it was delicious. One hour later the server comes back to the table and informs us our soups are coming out. I tell her we had our soups over an hour ago. She apologizes for the misunderstanding. Now 15 mins passed and our server says your food is coming out now. Tick-Tock Tick-Tock and nothing. Server returns apologizes for the delay and says he will take care of us. Tick-Tock Tick-Tock and still nothing. Server returns again to apologize and says he will take care of half the bill. Now we begin to question what the delay is. Not one straight answer. Mind you this whole time the manager is aware to the situation and not once approaches our table to make things right. Tick-Tick Tick-Tock still no food. We finally all agree to stand-up and walk out. I approach the manager and server and explain our disappointment and dissatisfaction with their service. The server was professional and courteous and tried to make things right the manager would not make eye contact with noone tonight including other patrons. She never once tried to make it right.
