Erik's DeliCafé — Restaurant in Seaside

Wish I could give them no stars.

I've now been here twice and won't go back. The first time I had some of their supposed homemade soup, it was not only terribly overpriced (which I could forgive if it was actually good) and terrible tasting. I swear I thought it tasted like the S&W truck just unloaded their stock and they opened a can of low quality chowder and threw it into a warming vat.

The second time that I went there I stood around waiting for anybody to come help me, there was no line, and the place was nearly empty but employees were standing around, finally got somebody's attention and placed my order to go. Took somebody ages to finally put my order together and then had to remind them it was to go.

That sandwich when I got back to my office was nothing to write home about, it was little more than something I could have picked up almost anywhere or even made at home, once again at a terribly high price...

While waiting on an appointment for my granddaughters to get finished, my daughter and I decided to get some lunch and stopped at Erik's deli. My daughter said she had been here before and it was a good place to dine. We walked in and the place was spacious and open. See the photos below. There is ample Room for anyone who is handicapped and in a wheelchair or walker, with handicap parking out front. Although parking is streetside, we found no trouble parking. We each ordered a combo meal which included sandwich and soup or a salad. We opted for the soup, clam chowder, it ended up being delicious-I'm very picky about...

Wow, talk about poor customer service. The staff here knows nothing of customer service. No one was friendly or inviting and two of the members, Emily and Jasmine, were incredibly rude (I.e. Mumbling things about me and my boyfriend under their breath still loud enough for us to hear, Interrupting us while we were ordering, speaking rudely) Not very appropriate Erik's DeliCafe. I hope that somebody important reads this and understands that everyone who works at this establishment needs to be trained properly.
