Authentic Oaxaca Food - 5 Stars If you're looking for truly authentic Oaxacan cuisine, this place is a gem! The seasoning in every dish is spot-on — rich, bold, and full of traditional flavor. You can really taste the love and heritage in every bite. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get, and the customer service is just as amazing. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Oaxaca flavor!

The entire staff, from kitchen to hostess, had a very welcoming attitude. Complimentary lentil soup was so good. The coffee had a hint of cinnamon or cocoa, reminded me of Abuelitas hot chocolate. We both got the chilaquiles with steak and my husband added eggs to his.

The food was all delicious. We had the 4 molotes, the empanada de mole amarillo, and the taco oaxaqueño with tasajo. Ernesto, our waiter, gave us great recommendations on the food. The decor was colorful and fun. Highly recommend this place.

We stumbled upon El Padrino after the pizza place next door couldn't accommodate our party of 6 – what a blessing in disguise! We were seated immediately and served promptly by a wonderful server who made our evening special.

The restaurant offers a nice selection of Mexican beers alongside wine (no margaritas), and we were treated to complimentary lentil soup that was absolutely delicious. Our group ordered a variety of dishes, including different moles and chili rellenos, and every single plate was outstanding. The staff even graciously accommodated one of our party members who can't eat cilantro, ensuring everyone could enjoy their meal.

As visitors from Tucson – where we're spoiled with incredible Mexican cuisine – we can say El Padrino's food rivals the very best of the Southwest! This is particularly impressive given how hard our group typically is to please!

It's wonderful to support a local, family-owned business that clearly takes pride in both their food and service. The combination of immediate seating, attentive care, and phenomenal food makes this a must-visit spot. Highly recommend for anyone seeking authentic, high-quality...

We just had our first meal here. OMG, it was outstanding. Their mole sauces are the best we've ever had. The lentil soup was very delicious. The hot chocolate drink made with corn was delicious and comforting. Like a warm blanket wrapped around you. Dessert was a flan like no other. It had the consistency of a combo of flan & cheesecake, with the right amount of sweetnessb. The whole meal from start to finish was Perfection. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The building is modest with large murals on the walls as well as on the tables of Oaxaca. So run don't walk to have a most delicious dining experience. 5+ stars from us. We can't wait to return for another...

We were greeted by the daughter of the owners.. She was very friendly and since this was our first time here she very thoroughly described the style of her Mother’s cooking..who was in the kitchen the day we ate there.. I ordered the mole negro..2nice pieces of chicken with the most delicious mole and a scoop of rice..Along with homemade tortillas..the mole amarilla and the flautas were delicious too!!.. The salsa and chips that came out before were also a total winner!!.. I highly recommend this new Oaxacan...
