The place looked shiny and hip, which initially drew us in. Their online photos were quite appealing. However, our experience quickly soured due to staff hygiene issues. One of the workers, who appeared to be unwell, was making muffins and continuously wiped his nose with his arm. This raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the food preparation process.
Despite its fancy presentation, the food at Fonte Coffee was a letdown. It seemed like everything was just masked with excessive sugar and grease. The dishes felt pre-made and lacked any fresh or authentic taste, giving the impression of being hastily microwaved before being served in a fancy box.
The overall experience was underwhelming. The modern and stylish appearance of the place and their attractive photos might draw you in, but the reality is a stark contrast. The lack of attention to hygiene and the poor quality of food overshadowed any aesthetic appeal
I would not recommend Fonte Coffee. Their focus seems to be more on appearance rather than the quality and safety of their food. The experience was disappointing and not worth a...
Read moreFor the prices--which are high--I expected better. Service was friendly, and there was no queue (at 9 a.m. on a weekday morning, which should've told me something). The store is clean and gleaming with chrome. But for $6 for a 16-oz mocha, I was expecting to taste rich, velvety, dark roasted coffee, and...it just wasn't. For $7, that croissant should've been buttery, warm, and unforgettable. It should've been a quick trip to Paris, not a quick trip to Tacoma. It was nearly flavorless, and hard and dried out. I might be willing to pay $13 for coffee and a croissant before tax and tip once in a while if the coffee and croissant were excellent. But they're just...

Now coffee. I ordered cappuccino. I didn’t like the taste of the beans. Not ordering coffee again.
There was plenty of sitting place, which was nice. I could grab a tall table and work for a couple hours. The WiFi didn’t connect successfully, but I didn’t bother to ask them what the case was.
I believe they have good food, because people seemed to go there for food and everything smelled super good.
I appreciate it when people are kind and empathic; makes me feel human again. ❤️ We...
