A Stylish Seattle Escape—Hotel Andra is the Ultimate Getaway! Okay, let me just say: Hotel Andra is next level. From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re hit with this stylish, contemporary vibe that’s both chic and cozy. It’s like they’ve taken everything you love about modern design and turned it into a relaxing, welcoming space. Warm tones, plush seating, art that makes you feel fancy, and lighting that says “come hang out”—it’s the perfect place for unwinding or socializing. They have a convenient bell trolley for your bags. We packed up everything on one cart, and still had room to spare, which made transporting our belongings a breeze. As we walked down the hallways toward our room, I couldn’t help but admire the clean, neutral tones and polished aesthetic that added to the luxurious feel of the property. Once we reached our room, the modern, Scandinavian-inspired elegance was even more evident. The spacious room featured warm, neutral tones with a mix of luxurious textures that made it feel both comfortable and sophisticated. The plush bedding, sleek furniture, and carefully chosen artwork added a personal touch to the space. Now, I know some people might find the lower height of the bed a bit quirky, but it totally fit the modern vibe of the room. And the vanity area? Genius! You know the struggle of getting ready while fighting for space at the bathroom counter—this one was all set up for comfort and convenience. And did I mention how the bathroom had this pop of blue that contrasted perfectly with the warm tones of the room? Total eye candy. It was stylish, fun, and gave the space a little extra spark. It felt like they thought of everything—down to the chocolates and a little bottle of wine waiting for us. Seriously?! Let’s talk about the little touches that made all the difference. There was a pre-bagged ice tucked away in a drawer fridge in the hallway. It’s super convenient and perfect for those late-night snack and drink cravings. And when we returned to our room after a long day, We were welcomed by extra blankets, pillows, and that dim, cozy lighting that’s just so perfect for unwinding. They really know how to make a guest feel pampered. While the restaurant experience didn’t quite live up to the high standards of the rest of my stay, with a bit of a delay in service. We did have to wait without anyone acknowledging us, which was kind of a bummer. But, honestly, it didn’t take away from the awesomeness of everything else. The mimosas were a good way to keep the mood light, and we made it work! While I would have loved an indoor pool, the small fitness center was a decent alternative for anyone looking to get a workout in without leaving the building. But seriously, if they added a pool, it would be the ultimate game-changer. All in all, this stay was nothing short of fantastic. Hotel Andra has mastered the art of combining luxury with comfort, and their attention to detail is next-level. The design, the thoughtful touches, and the overall atmosphere made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, stylish, and comfortable stay in the heart of Seattle.

I felt it was important to write this review to warn other guests who are interested in staying at this hotel as I had experienced theft. I booked a 5 day trip to the Seattle area to do some hiking and explore the city. I checked into hotel Andra on a Tuesday night. I took my earrings off and set them in a jewelry pouch on the dresser near the tv the night I arrived. Wednesday and Thursday I was away from the hotel on hiking trips around colchuck lake and mt Rainer. I do not wear jewelry on hikes so I had not touched my jewelry pouch since the day I arrived. Friday I planned to explore the city of Seattle and wanted to wear my jewelry but it was nowhere to be found. I checked my suit case, shaking out each individual piece of clothing 2x, checked under and around furniture, checked areas I never even used in the room, checked my friends luggage and nothing. At this point I knew it was gone so I filed a missing items report with the front desk and management. Between taking the time to look for the jewelry, filing the complaint, and talking to management this really took away from my trip. After management talked to the staff regarding my missing items, my jewelry magically appeared right atop my clothing, a place I had thoroughly checked before leaving the hotel for that day. Where I found the jewelry is also not where I know I left it. After talking to staff and reviewing camera footage I was informed the mini bar comes daily to check the room to take inventory and restock, however I drank a vos water which is a mini bar item early into the trip that I was never charged for nor restocked during my stay. It raises a red flag to me that the mini bar employee was not doing her duties and still proceeded to be in my hotel room daily. I was also informed by staff the cleaning crew comes every 3rd day but for some reason came in on the 2nd day as shown on camera footage, however nothing was cleaned, no garbage was taken and no new towels were layed out which raises again a red flag to me. After getting home from my trip and unpacking I noticed not only was my jewelry stolen, but it was returned damaged. The staff member that took the jewelry put some sort of acidic liquid on my necklace to see if it was solid gold (it’s not) which is why my necklace has brown spots on it which is also why I’m assuming she returned it. I am so dissatisfied with the staff and service at this hotel handling my personal items. I would suggest if you choose to stay at hotel Andra to leave your do not disturb sign on your door at all times and schedule times with the mini bar employee where you can be present as she checks the mini bar as well as the cleaning crew staff since this incident caused so much stress and time away from my trip. I had to buy replacement jewelry which was a couple hundred dollars to repurchase and my formal complaint I gave to management went ignored.

I came here for work, so the location was less relevant. But it is easy to walk to a supermarket, the waterfront for a nice long walk, as well as several restaurants, including vegan options like Kati Vegan Thai and Plantiful which I appreciated.

Above all, the service was excellent. Sandra at the reception was very friendly and made it possible for me to check in a bit earlier, since I arrived in the morning. This was the first time I stayed with Ändra and I received a welcome note and Swedish fish which was a nice touch. The doormen on shift (I didn't catch their names) were also very friendly and helped me store my luggage twice until check-in. I asked for a water kettle for my room and received one promptly.

The room was nice and more stylish than in most American chain hotels I have stayed at (like Marriott, Hyatt). The sitting area was nice to have breakfast and dinners in the room. I appreciated the bathrobe in the room. I especially appreciated having a Nespresso machine to make proper espresso and cafe creme instead of the usual coffee makers that just produce a sad tea-like liquid. I also liked that instead of the usual paper or even plastic cups, the room had real ceramic mugs and glasses for me to use. Nicer and more environmentally friendly. The blackout curtains worked well to make the room dark for sleeping.

Having room cleaning on demand was fine. However, I would appreciate if I could have my room cleaned without having all towels replaced to save resources. My towels were fine and I didn't put them on the floor, but the cleaners still replaced all used towels. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion are offered in big containers fixed at the wall which is great to avoid plastic waste. But I noticed that the bottles said "not refillable" and wondered if that meant that they would still get discarded after one use, which would still cause a lot a of plastic waste. Upon inquiry, the hotel said that they partner with Clean the World who collect their bathroom bottles and process them for use in other parts of the world. That seems like a strange solution and close to waste colonialism. Why not clean the bottles at your hotel and reuse them there? The carbon footprint of shipping them off (likely to the Global South) is huge. The hotel could just donate cash to organizations there instead.

What I didn't like about the room: The bed was too soft for me. It's obviously a preference, but I did not sleep well. Maybe the solution for hotels here is to offer rooms with softer and harder mattresses? Hotel rooms really shouldn't have carpet floors anymore. They can never be cleaned as well as hardwood, laminate, or tile and are really bad for people with dust allergies. Given that some people don't take off their outdoor shoes in hotel rooms, it feels gross to walk barefoot on the carpet. The hairdryer in the room was missing the nozzle so that I easily burned some of my hair when using it. It also didn't work very well, taking forever to dry my hair. I called the desk and told them about the problem and they eventually brought me another hairdryer, but that one was also missing the nozzle. I've made this experience in other hotels and it might be a remnant of a time when mostly men stayed at such hotels for work, but in 2024 having a functioning hairdryer in a hotel people mostly use for work should be standard. The fridge is full of minibar items, so it is difficult to use it for leftover food or breakfast items (I always bring my cereal and buy plantmilk to be healthy on trips). I wasn't sure if I get charged if I take out items, so I carefully re-arranged them to make place for my food. The biggest issues happened early in the morning the day I left: It was raining outside and I noticed water dripping into the room from the air conditioning vent. It formed a stain and then a puddle on the carpet. Since I was in a rush and about to check out, I mentioned this only when I checked out, so I don't know how quickly it got fixed. But it suggests a structural issue that is a...

Title: An Exquisite Gem in the Heart of Seattle: Hotel Ändra Seattle MGallery Hotel Collection

Rating: ★★★★★ 5/5

The Hotel Ändra Seattle MGallery Hotel Collection, a boutique haven of luxury, is more than just a place to rest your head - it’s an experience that captures and enhances the spirit of the Emerald City. This beautifully designed hotel, tucked between South Lake Union and the bustling retail core, is a testament to the city’s rich history and vibrant modern culture, offering a stunning balance of comfort, style, and convenience.

Upon arrival, you’re immediately struck by the hotel’s stunning architecture. The sophisticated urban design, a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and classic elegance, provides a welcoming respite from the busy city streets. The interior is no less impressive, furnished with tasteful décor that exudes warmth and luxury.

The location is incomparable. Being within walking distance of the famous Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, and the Space Needle, Hotel Ändra is a gateway to the most beloved attractions in Seattle. Whether you’re in the mood for food, music, art, or history, the hotel’s prime location offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the city’s thriving downtown area.

However, the true standout of the Hotel Ändra experience is the service. Notably, the customer service offered by Paola Romero is phenomenal. Hospitality is clearly more than a job for Paola; it’s a calling. She flawlessly provides a level of service that is both professional and personal, answering all questions with a warm smile and an eagerness to ensure that your stay is nothing short of perfect.

Her recommendations are a testament to her local knowledge and commitment to enhancing your Seattle experience. From the delightful culinary experiences at Assaggio Ristorante and Michou Deli to the breathtaking views from the Space Needle and the Seattle Great Wheel, her suggestions provide a curated taste of Seattle’s best offerings.

The food at Assaggio Ristorante is a gastronomic delight, offering an authentic Italian dining experience that is nothing short of spectacular. Michou Deli, on the other hand, is a treasure trove of delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads, perfectly suited for a quick lunch or a picnic by the pier.

Paola’s recommendation to visit Pike Place Market is a must-follow. As one of Seattle’s oldest continuously operated public farmers’ markets, it’s a bustling hive of activity, offering everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts.

And of course, no visit to Seattle would be complete without a trip to the Space Needle and the Seattle Great Wheel. The panoramic views of the city, especially during sunset, are absolutely stunning - a sight that you’ll carry with you long after your stay at Hotel Ändra.
