WARNING: Reservations do NOT guarantee you a spot at this establish!! Worst customer service experience I have encountered in years.
I made reservations for my birthday almost two weeks ago, my reservation was confirmed via email and I also received a phone call the night of confirming my reservation again. I arrived around 830pm and was informed my party of 10 was on the “wait list” and there was no spot for us. The staff was rude and dismissive, the “manager” walked away from me mid sentence and just started pouring drinks behind the bar. She also told me the “reason” is they over booked reservations by 30%, what’s the point of making reservations then?? We were continuously treated as if 1- we were wrong/at fault and 2- they could not have cared less.
The only reason we got a spot, crammed in a corner where we couldn’t see and had no table service (resulting in 30+ minute waits at the bar), was because another group overheard our issue and crammed us into their space with them which incurred a snarky remark from the door guy and he then proceeded to take chairs away from my party (like literally asked them to stand up and just took their chairs away) because we inconvenienced his path.
At one point we tried to ask another staff member to help and were ignored with “my job is just to watch the door”.
In the interest of fairness we were comped a handful of drinks which is appreciated, but it was far too...
Read moreThe show started off pretty hilarious. They were engaged with the crowd, making jokes, pulling people up on stage…it was great! I usually really enjoy myself here. My last visit though was not that great. We went after dinner for my sisters birthday, I wrote a request for her to be pulled up on stage THREE TIMES, all together I think the cash equaled about $55…..and yet she was never pulled up. We were sure to write that it was her birthday on each slip….BUT…the same bachelorette was pulled up on stage on four different occasions and another birthday girl was pulled up for a song….then I decide to just settle for them playing one of her favorite songs…we paid for the song again…THREE TIMES…and it was never played. Songs that had less money attached was played first, I’m assuming because that’s the type of music the pianist liked…So basically I wasted around $85 on requests that were never fulfilled. I’m not made of money. In the beginning they state that if you have more money attached to your request then it will be played first, apparently that only counts if they like the song. Also, the drinks were watered down or tasted like pure sugar. Stick with beer if you do decide to go. If you are a fan of Nirvana or Guns and Roses then you’re golden, that’s what they...
Read morewas in town for a work trip and saw the full show on friday, great piano playing and a great crowd! i was there alone so i may be looking too critically at things, but want to share my observations. too few bartenders with little experience led to an awkward line at the bar, way too strong cocktails, and long waits for simple drinks. some young sales bros got too hammered and were mean-mugging other guests, and at some point someone puked in a urinal. reminded of earls in u district; it was odd to have a dive bar experience in a place that took reservations, and where all the guests were dressed to impress.
good staff at the door - kept others from stealing my table while i was in line for a drink.
the show itself was worth it all; tons of great classics. amazong piano playing, great energy by the players in getting some audience participation. some awkward moments when country songs and iron maiden were suggested. i totally get why they saved "piano man" for the end of the show, but thats a hell of a sad song to play when its freezing outside and 80% of the audience had already left. but, like i said, i went alone so maybe im being overly critical. good fun on a...
