Ordered 짜장면 ( Jjajangmyeon ) for take out. And it was amazing, compared to other locations in which I’ve had this dish. Onions, Vegetables and Meat were well portioned; not overwhelming. The fried egg was a highlight since not everyone includes it. (Sides included: Kimchi, Fish Cake, Pickled Radish, Spicy Cucumber salad, Braised Potatoes, and the Macaroni salad ). 5 stars for this dish. Unfortunately the two stars are a result of the dreadful customer service experience. It was a Friday night and I had not ate all day so instinctively being a Korean Enthusiast decided to stop by here. I approached the cashier and made my order in Korean “짜장면 주세요” to which he responded “What!?”. Then I responded “짜장면”. He said “What AbOUT iT!?” Clearly seemed annoyed so I proceeded to order in English thinking maybe I mistaken him for someone who can speak the language. He then goes into the back room and starts talking to the cook in Korean. My friend and I were in shock. (She had asked “Did he really just pretend not to know Korean?”) It felt like a personal attack until I watched how he had interacted with other customers. You are sure to leave having received attitude instead of a Thank You. While waiting for my order I decided to include a soda. I approached him again and asked what flavors were available. He was staring outside almost zoned out. He asked “wait what?” And repeated myself. There’s no to go cups for the fountain soda...go figure. So I told him it was okay; I would just buy a can of sprite (being the only option) they had in the fridge. Turns out they’re not selling those? Because it’s for an event. I was frustrated, it doesn’t make sense to have that on display if they’re not being sold.
This needs to be corrected, if a worker does not appreciate their job they do not need to be there. To the cashier who assisted me that night: You bring on a bad reputation to the restaurant and the rest of the staff, they do not deserve that. If you go on campus and ask people about this location they will not fail to mention the “rude employee”. That’s really sad to hear. There’s a lot of Korean restaurants around the area that we can choose from. We really don’t need to bring our...
Read moreMy worst dine-in experience ever!!! We ordered a combo (tofu + fish), they served the tofu first, and we wait for more than 20minutes, they still didn’t serve the fish. So we talked with them, they said that the it’s the first day of waitress to work there, so they confused. However, to solve the problem, they asked us to either pay for the tofu and leave, or order another fish again (they said that no matter what, they will charge us both the tofu and the fish price, rather than the combo price). We try to reason with them for a few minutes, but they didn’t apologize even to the end, even if we did nothing wrong! We ended up paying for the tofu full price without getting any fish, but We will never visit this restaurant...
Read moreThe food was okay but open hours seem to fluctuate with the mood of the owners. We are not students but live in Seattle downtown and were looking for a nearby Korean restaurant for dinner because sometimes we just crave good Korean food! It was relatively late but we saw that this place was going to be open for at least another hour. We were able to order but then as we were eating some other customers came in and they said they are closed. This didn’t match what it said on Google Maps at least.
On a separate night prior to this experience, we drove over here to have dinner at this restaurant but it was completely closed with no lights on. It felt strange because they said they are open now on Google Maps and...
