Some of the most incredible gelato I've ever had. Christopher is a genius with flavors and ingredients, and was so generous with samples as he talked us through the background behind each flavor.

His dedication to quality and passion, and how he translates that into flavors that pop and are not your usual run of the mill stuff, just flavors you might see but eons better, is really admirable and even maybe above the bottom line.

He's put a lot of love into the business and we feel so lucky to have him in the neighborhood. He used a local tea shop (B. Fuller's Mortar & Pestle) for an earl gray flavor, for example, and made his own pistachio paste after not being satisfied with the store bought stuff. He lovingly topped each of our gelatos with even more homemade powders, candied Sumo citrus peels from the citrus he used in a decadent and creamy dulce de leche, and I was hit with the most powerful vanilla in the vanilla ice cream for the "non vanilla lover".

Give this place a visit: it's low key some of the best ice cream in Seattle and quite unlike any place I've visited before in Seattle (and I've tried my fair share!). Finding such a pure expression of artistry and passion at a small scale business in Seattle is becoming rarer these days, and I hope this...

Marmalade might be the hottest new Seattle ice cream place, and claims to serve the best pistachio gelato in the city. I went with a friend on an 80-degree day an hour before closing. We got a grande with vanilla and pistachio, which was the perfect size to share. The vanilla was great, and it the spot with a mix of cool, sweet, and flavorful. The pistachio was a different story. I found it strangely salty, like they were overzealous with the salt shaker. It also left me with a mouth that felt like it was coated in fat, like the gelato was weirdly buttery. If you like salty, you’ll probably enjoy this, but I wouldn’t give it the title of best pistachio in Seattle. Also, all the signs (menus, flavor labels, etc) were in what I think is French. I didn’t know what half the things on the menu were. But the employee was very patient and told me what everything was. We are on the patio, which was a lovely environment, and the line was out to the sidewalk when we left. Samples are on bamboo sticks, spoons are little gelato shovels...

What a treat!!! Never knew I was about to have the best Gelato ever!! We had a wonderful dinner across the street at LeCoin. BTW absolutely fabulous meal. We sat outside and watched how nice the vibe was across the street where people were enjoying there Gelato and the nice summers night. We decided to venture over to Marmalades for dessert. SO HAPPY WE DID!! THIS GELATO IS INCREDIBLE! Both my mom and I were throughly impressed. The girl who helped us at the counter was such a gem. Personable, kind, patient and friendly. The other woman working also so kind. Possibly the owner. The website said they closed at 9pm... walked in at 9:09 and was still serving with a kind welcoming and no pushy vibes at all. The music was playing out in the courtyard where picnic tables and chairs and tables are around to enjoy your sweet treat. 😋 🍨 . Was heavenly and when in the neighborhood again will be sure to come back as this Gelato is something you dream about. ✨️ thank you! It was so good I forgot to...

This place is amazing! The owner is a wonderful and sweet guy, who is more than happy to let you try all the flavors as he tells you about how he got the idea. Keep an eye out because some of the stuff is special and won't be out long! I got strawberry and it was really good. My default when coming here is the Dolce de Leche. My husband likes the pistachio. The coffee that they use for the affogato is really good! It is small inside, but they do have a restroom and 2 tables. Outside there is more seating, with some wonderful big trees to keep you shaded from the sun This place is WAY too close to where I work and it's too easy to just say "I need some Gelato" when work is done.

This place is amazing! The owner is delightful and very passionate about what he does. He gave loads of samples, chatted with us about his flavor development, and was generally very friendly. Every flavor was fantastic - I ended up getting a lavender honey + cara cara marmalade. My partner got chocolate hazelnut candied orange + salted graham. They have new flavors all the time - 3 new flavors come out tomorrow (we'll be back this weekend to try them!). They are brand new, so their hours are sometimes variable, but if the curtains are closed with lights on, there's a doorbell! He said he's sold scoops after midnight if people ring the bell.

Amazingly flavorful gelato at a decent price! I’ve been here twice in recent months. The owner is usually working the counter and has interesting stories and insights behind each flavor, enthusiastically encouraging you to sample as many flavors as you’d like. Seems that the fruit based gelato will ebb and flow with what’s in season (makes sense) but that said, if there’s a flavor you want to try, you’d better snag it while they have it! He also has nice toppings that he doesn’t charge extra for - he matches it to the gelato flavor(s) you’ve selected, topping with fancy cherries, pretzel pieces, fresh pistachios, etc.
