My experience here was not very Ha! :(
I am not sure if I did something to upset the bartender but as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a death stare and a very forced "hi?". The bartender, an older Caucasian woman, seemed annoyed that I was there as she was talking to her friends. I tried not to interrupt so I sat at the bar silently until she was ready to take my order. When she came over I asked for a lemon drop cocktail and again I was met with annoyance and an eventual "...sure. you have ID?". I felt bad since I thought they might not have the materials but they did and she continued talking to her friends for the entirety of her making my drink and my stay there. When she made the drink, she handed it to me silently and immediately gave me my bill ($15 for one cocktail).
I felt extremely alienated as I just wanted to grab a quick drink before attending an event next door. I don't want to say this was racially motivated but as a brown women, it felt very targeted as I saw her demeanor change when a Black patron walked in and they were given a very short, monotone response compared to a White patron who walked in and was met with a smile and...
Read moreMy Phone was stolen from this business on Sunday night, st pattys day 3/17/24. iPhone 15pro 256gb (Natural Titanium).
Unfortunately, no one from the business would help me the next day when I asked. They just shrugged, treated me like I was stupid, and said “good luck on your journey”.
I reviewed the last known times, locations, and activity from Apple, Google, and T-Mobile, and can see that my phone was used and signed out after my departure while my location was still on. It was signed out and turned off at “Ha!”. Someone likely swiped it from the table I was sitting at by the window. It is not clear if the business cares that felony theft takes place here based on my conversation the next day, which is odd.
Would appreciate any help or information from the business on who might’ve taken this phone as this is felony theft in the 2nd degree. So far I have received no help, and was treated like I was dumb for thinking it was left in the restaurant.
This phone clearly did not just disappear in the bar, please someone help me. Y’all know something about this, or can provide information on who...
Read morePresents as a divey neighborhood hole in the wall, but both times I’ve been I’ve been floored by the quality of service. Food is perfectly acceptable pub fare (that is to say: good without being pretentious, posted King County food safety rating is ‘excellent’) but service... oh man. Best I’ve had anywhere outside of the “bring a sexy date and celebrate a promotion/graduation/wedding” sort of place. Appetizer comes out first and right when we were thinking “would be nice if the entree showed up” BAM. There it was. Different nights, different servers (I think). Drinks always offered right when glass is approaching empty, service always available without being intrusive, strooong and delicious house margaritas. Not a romantic date spot, but if you want to feel like you’re dining at the local watering hole, you can do so here with comfort and not be snubbed as an outsider by uppity wait staff (as has happened at many other spots I’ve been)
This is absolutely the kind of place that makes you want to...
